Very nice apartment, in a great location at a reasonable price. Its just a few blocks from the BSI station and downtown and located on a quiet street. The almost 360 degree views out the windows are spectacular on a clear day. The pictures on Tripadvisor are very accurate representations of what the apartment looked like when we arrived. Ragnar and Mildred were very accommodating of our needs and quickly responded to our questions pre-trip. They also greeted us upon arrival and showed us the apartment. One caveat, you have to walk up four flights of stairs to reach the apartment. If you have heavy luggage or are not physically fit, consider yourself warned.

This is a very comfortable apartment located on the top floor (maybe 4 short flights) of a well kept building. The nighttime views are magical -- the sitting area windows look toward the volcano on the horizon and the kitchen window looks out on the steeple of the Hallgrimskirkja. It is conveniently located just outside the city center bar area so it is quiet and free parking is available. A Kronen grocery story is in easy walking distance, and the kitchen has everything needed for cooking a real meal. The unit is fully equipped and includes a combination washer/dryer that we very much appreciated after some wet walks! Would definitely stay here again -- the space really added to our enjoyment of Iceland!!

This lovely apartment provided everything we were looking for during our 14 day stay in Reykjavík. This was our third visit to Iceland and we had gotten to know Reykjavik well. We had our choice of locations and picked this area just a short walk to the lake, the center of the city, and Hallgrimskirkja. It couldn't be more well located. The apartment was immaculately clean and well cared for. It was comfortable, spacious, and picturesque both inside and out as it offered a stunning view of the city and beyond. Our hosts were gracious, welcoming, and available. They responded quickly to our communications prior to our visit, allowed us early access to the apartment upon our early morning arrival, provided us with written and verbal details about the workings of items in the apartment, and responded almost immediately in the few instances where we needed to be in touch with them. We would consider returning to this apartment if available on our future visits to Reykjavík. I cannot recommend it more highly.

This wonderful apartment was everything we hoped it would be. Very clean...Scandi decor, enough kitchen equipment to cook when we wanted, and the most extraordinary views from every window. Good to know the hosts were just downstairs if we needed. We hope to stay again..thank you.

This apartment was absolutely beautiful and perfectly situated. Ragnar and Mildred provided all of the comforts of home. It really was the crown jewel to an incredible vacation.

Very nice 2 bedroom apartment in a nice area of town. Within walking distance of all the highlights of Reykjavik - but far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful. The apartment is clean, bright and has nice views. It has a small kitchen with adequate cookware to make a meal and dinnerware and glassware. It has an apartment sized washer / dryer combination - so only meant for small loads. We used this as our "home base" to explore Reykjavik and the surrounding areas. It was nice to have some room to spread out - rather than being cramped in a hotel room. Loved our stay here.

The penthouse had an amazing view. We had everything we needed and was centrally located to the bus terminal and downtown. I would recommend staying here over a hotel. Ragnar and Mildred, the owners, were very nice and accommodating.

Booked Ragnar's flat to stay in for five nights in Reykjavik. The flat had fantastic views of the city and was located in walking distance of the bus station, supermarket, city centre. Given the weather we were pleased not to have to go too far! The flat was clean and equipped for a family stay. Ragnar was helpful in advance of our stay replying to my emails.

Perfect place to stay, spacious, well layed out. Everything you need to be comfortable. Oh and the view is amazing. Shot walk to everything. Our family of four was very happy here for our stay in Iceland.

4 of us stayed for 4 nights during the UK October school half term. This is a great apartment - fitted out really well with everything you could need for a holiday stop. It's fitted out to a high specification and the views really are great! Very good wi-fi (I have 2 teenagers - say no more!!) Parking outside on the street was easy enough (especially at night - busier during the day) and is only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Reykjavik and less to the cathredal. The owners Ragnar and Mildred are very friendly and allowed us access when we arrived in the morning and we just left the keys as we had an early start. Really can't fault it at all - great all round!
