Bairro Alto/Principe Real/Bica are three of the most famous historic district in Lisbon and also the oldest ones. It´s the heart of Lisbon's nightlife and youth culture and there you can find lots of restaurants, coffees, bars and trendy shops. You will also find Fado houses where you can listen to this traditional Portuguese music. During daytime, Bairro Alto/Principe Real/Bica transforms into a traditional district where people shop for groceries, visit art galleries, bookshops or arty gift shops.
It’s located just a few minutes walking from Bica, one of the most picturesque 'bairros' (neighbourhood in Portuguese) in Lisbon, with the Bica funicular and the Santa Catarina Belvedere as its main attractions. It´s a quarter where you can feel the calmness of daily life of local citizens, like if you were in a little village.
The sophisticated and glamorous Chiado district in the city center is also quite near and about 10 minutes walking distance you will find the Tejo river waterfront.
Public transports and all the facilities you may need are next to you. Near the apartament (10 minutes walking) you have the subway station Baixa/Chiado.
Buses and trams are running every minute. Tram nº28 is a very famous touristic tram which winds its way through the most picturesque parts of Lisbon, namely the Alfama and Castle area has a stop in the street of the apartament.
In Cais do Sodré station, trains take you to Belém, Estoril and Cascais.

Sono stata ospite di questa struttura l'anno scorso per qualche giorno, prenotata attraverso booking: appena ristrutturata, in una zona bellissima, ottimo arredamento, squisiti i proprietari e, non da ultimo, pulitissima! La consiglio vivamente, e appena potrò ci ritornerò.
