This was a great house, 15 minutes walk from the walled city. If you don't feel like walking the bicycles are great and there is also a local bus just around the corner running from 6.30am until 8.30ish. Just be wary of the local taxi service (Radio Taxi Lucca). My husband has limited mobility so we used taxis quite a bit and the price started at less than 10 euro but had risen to almost 20euro by week 2. We switched to the local LAM bus then as I hate being ripped off and found it very convenient. This is not the fault of the hosts though, they was lots of information/maps etc. in the house about transport options. The house itself is very well appointed with 4 good sized bedrooms, is spotlessly clean has everything that you would need. We stayed for two weeks and would certainly stay again. The air conditioning in each of the bedrooms is fantastic. Local amenities are very good, with three supermarkets close by and numerous pizza places and cafes. Our flights were delayed and we were several hours late arriving but this was no problem to Andrea and Partizia who were very gracious about the delay. All in all, I would highly recommend this property if you are travelling to Lucca

We stayed at the apartment just outside the walls of Lucca for two weeks in June. The house is very well appointed and organized. We loved the charm of the house with the brick walls and vaulted wooden ceilings. The kitchen had everything we needed and the washer and dryer were great to have for our extended stay. We took the bikes out for rides on along with Lucca walls a few mornings and really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere of Lucca and Tuscany. We had plenty of room for all our guests (6 adults). Patrizia and Luica greeted us when we arrived, showed us everything we needed to know about the house, gave us dining and shopping recommendations and even printed out a voucher we needed for a tour during our stay. Having parking spots right in front was very helpful. People that stay inside the town walls have a hard time finding parking. We had a great time in Lucca and Tuscany and would definitely recommend this property for up to 8 adults.

Abbiamo fatto una gita fuori porta con un gruppo di amici (4 coppie) e la soluzione abitativa offerta da Patrizia ed Andrea ha superato le nostre aspettative! Quattro belle camere molto confortevoli con annessi altrettanti bagni. Anche la zona living assicura ampi spazi per un'eventuale colazione o pranzo veloce.

Mi sono recato con la mia famiglia per un weekend lungo presso questa bellissima casa molto ben arredata, pulita ed accogliente .Un ringraziamento particolare alla padrona di casa Patrizia per la sua gentilezza e disponibilità. Veramente una bella esperienza ci torneremo sicuramente.

Proprio secondo le aspettative! Non è semplice trovare su internet una proposta che soddisfi quanto raccontato dal sito. Alloggio spazioso e pulito con tutto il necessario per trascorrere una ottima visita della città in tranquillità. Ed eccellente l'attenzione della proprietaria!

The town house was very clean and updated and thoughtfully furnished and it was a pleasure doing business with the owner. Directions with more than the address would have been helpful. I was surprised to find that the week was 6 nights rather than 7. A coffee maker was needed and we had to tape the dryer door closed. I did not like separating the trash or having to pay for a maid. It should have been included in the rental price. The beds were very comfortable but there were raised floors going in to some of the rooms. We left the lights on in the bathrooms at night for safety. The stairs were concrete.

Patrizia was very helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay in Lucca. The property has excellent facilities, is close to supermarkets, and the bikes meant that we could cycle along the bike path to the city, and around the city walls. All on the flat, so easy even for older guests. We hired a car for a couple of days, and sightseeing was easy, with parking right outside. Lucca itself is charming, with lots to see, and the track around the city walls is delightful. Have no hesitation in recommending this property.

The apartment was located off the main road but was a good 1 klm walk to town. However 2 bikes were provided and rental bikes were plentiful in town. Riding was definitely the way to go with very friendly bike paths and no hills. The apartment was nicely renovated and had all modern facilities and the basic food/ laundry were provided. The owner and her colleague were very helpful and both went out of their way to help us late one evening when we accidentally locked ourselves out. (Don't leave keys in the other side of the door). My only complaint was that two of the beds had slight frames and uncomfortable mattress . Every movement you made the bed would squeak. Otherwise a perfect base for Tuscan region and perfect for both families and groups of friends.

Was a great location, not far from the walls of Lucca. Loved that there was an excellent bar where we would get breakfast every morning (could not begin to tell you how good it was!). Also, there is a fantastic pizza joint, around the block. We had two cars and were able to park in front (having any parking in Italy is a rare luxury). Having 3 bathrooms was very comfortable for the 6 of us. The restorations done of the place were excellent, tons of charm and character. All bedrooms had AC, yet another rare find in Italy. The owner was extremely nice, helpful and just as charming as her home.

We rented Casa Anthea for one week. Our party consisted of 5 adults and a 2 year old. We were attending a wedding and making a holiday of it. Casa Anthea suited our needs very well. It is spacious, clean and well equipped. It is very good value for money. Its position is good, a 15 minute walk from Lucca, which is a lovely city to stay in and a good location to explore the region. The owner . Patrizia, and her colleague, Glenda, were very helpful and accommodating. Be aware that there is no outside space at all. This was perfect for us.
