Located in an established community 10 minutes direct walk into the walled city. The apartment is on the semi basement floor of a large family home. The site is gated with a lovely garden. We drove to Italy from the UK in our EV. There is a parking space on the premises, just outside the flat where we sat for our morning coffee and daily planning meeting. The owners live on site and we’re very warm and welcoming. There is also a very large and soppy dog that checked in with us each morning. We immediately felt happy with this set up. Large kitchen lounge, one good sized double bedroom and ample, updated shower room. Lots of storage for our stuff. The kitchen amenities were easy to use. There wasn’t a washing machine which would have been useful for our longer stay and this is the reason for the four stars Overall, this accommodation really suited our needs for an extended stay of two months. There was sufficient space and comfort for spending days together ‘ around the house’ between trips out to explore the city and the region. There is a very large supermarket - Essalungo- within a few minutes walk. Lucca is a fascinating delight which we never tired of walking and cycling through and around.

We stayed 8 days and used Lucca as our base to explore nearby hill towns. The apartment is an easy walk into Lucca, has parking and is fully equipped to be a very comfortable home away from home. Anna had been a responsive host from booking and throughout our stay. The shower is wonderful, the bed great, and everything is sparkly clean. There is outdoor space and it is very quiet. We rent lots of apartments throughout Europe and this ranks at the top. A true gem.

We stayed in this great apartment for two weeks and didn't want to leave! The location is perfect, just 10 minutes walk from the old city and 15 minutes from the train station. There is also a great supermarket just around the corner. The apartment is very well laid out, fully equipped with everything that you would need and spotlessly clean. Anna is a great host and was very helpful with any queries we had. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone heading to lucca. The bikes that come with the apartment are also a great bonus. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 8 nights in June. Beautiful clean and stylish apartment with a very helpful and friendly owner. Everything you could possibly want from a self catering apartment is provided with a fantastic supermarket around the corner. We discovered a great Pizzeria called Funiculi a few minutes walk away. Pizza to die for! The bicycles provided were brilliant for getting in and out of Lucca and to keep cool. Otherwise the walk into town was about 15/20 minutes which we found hard going in the intense heat. I think the weather in Tuscany this year has been extra hot so i think normally it would be so difficult. Day trips out on the train were very easy. Overall a great place to stay. P.S. One little suggestion would be to provide a plug in mosquito repellent as we had been bitten quite badly on the first night before we realised the dreaded mozzies are a problem in this part of the world.

We arrived a little bit later than we had expected and we couldn't get a signal on our mobile phone but as soon as we arrived at the gate Anna was there to greet us. Her English is very good despite her protestations and she explained the workings and layout of the apartment very clearly. After checking that we had her and Gabriele's phone numbers in case of an emergency and in case we had any enquiries she left us to our own devices. The apartment was very clean with everything and more that you need with the exception of a washing machine {There are at least 3 Laundromats within a short distance)and air conditioning. there are a couple of bar/restaurants near by and an excellent supermarket. Lucca is only a 10 to 15 min walk away straight up the main street through an underpass and a gateway into the city is there. The apartment is in a quiet residential area which suited us down to the ground. And then there's Telos the Golden Retriever who kept coming round to check on us. Thanks for a wonderful stay Anna

Wir haben 3 Wochen in der Ferienwohnung gewohnt und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung liegt im Souterrain eines Einfamilienhauses, das von den Vermietern bewohnt wird, und hat eine große geteerte Freifläche vor dem Wohnzimmer, auf der man sein Auto parken kann und die auch als Terrasse fungiert. Zusätzlich kann man einen kleinen Sitzplatz einen halben Stock höher benutzen, der auch auf den Fotos abgebildet ist. Durch die Nordausrichtung und die Souterrainlage ist vor allem die Küche recht dunkel und die Wohnung etwas kühl, was wahrscheinlich im Sommer sehr angenehm ist. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist recht gut, aber uns hat eine Waschmaschine gefehlt (aber in Laufdistanz gibt es einen Waschsalon). Die Lage ist günstig - man läuft problemlos in die Altstadt, hat Cafes und einige Restaurants und einen Supermarkt in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Obwohl die Vermieter im Haus wohnen, hat man viel Privatsphäre. Es hilft jedoch, wenn man Hunde mag, da der Haushund immer wieder vorbei schaut (vor allem, wenn man draußen essen will). Im Viertel gab es mehrmals eine Stromunterbrechung, was die Alarmanlagen in der Umgebung starten ließ und in der Wohnung eine Notbeleuchtung einschaltete - tagsüber kein Problem, aber um 5 Uhr morgens nicht ganz so toll.

Great apartment, exactly as described. Facilities are good clean and modern.It's an easy walk of no more than 10 mins to the old city. Within walking are various shops and cafes, and a supermarket. Handy for train station as well, although we took a hire car, there's ample parking at the apartment.

A lovely spacious, clean and comfortable apartment situated in a peaceful residential location within easy reach of the old part of Lucca and both the bus and train stations. The apartment has the added bonus of a private outside dining area and is also very close to amenities, such as a well-stocked supermarket, bakery and café. Our hosts Anna and her husband Gabriele were both very welcoming and helpful providing us with information on timetables and recommendations for restaurants all of which contributed to us having a wonderful time in Lucca. We look forward to a return visit.

We had arrived late in the evening, around 10.20. Anna and her husband, Gabriele had waited up to welcome us to their very comfortable, large and very well equipped apartment. Good location, ten minute walk in to old Lucca or use the rather characterful bikes that are provided, we grew to be rather attached to the bikes! Plus the close by excellent Esselunga supermarket with their amazing array of fresh foods. We loved it. Thank you Anna Gabriele.

Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana in questo delizioso appartamento io e altri 3 amici. Ci siamo trovati benissimo! L'appartamento è grande, pulito, ben tenuto, oserei dire di lusso! La posizione è ottima, a meno di 10 minuti a piedi dalle mura, inoltre nelle vicinanze troviamo Esselunga ed Eurospin, una lavanderia a gettoni, molti bar e pasticcerie. Siamo stati molto comodi, la proprietaria è una persona gentilissima e disponibile. Straconsigliato!
