Salve a tutti . Io e la mia ragazza siamo stati in questo posto fantastico il 20 e 21 ottobre. Il posto è fantastico, immerso nel verde e contornato da alberi maestosi, piante altissime e una piscina grandissima oltre che un campo da tennis. Abbiamo soggiornato in un appartamento antico di fine 700, appartamento immenso con una sala a dir poco spettacolare, cugina e bagno e una camera surreale, piena di libri Ed un letto strepitoso, pensavamo che fosse tutto qua Ed invece 2 altre stanze con pianoforte a coda e un biliardo antico che rende l'ambiente unico. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo, molto disponibile e ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Ci ha illustrato tutto quello che c'è a Cortona e come muoversi. Ragazzi ché dire....ve la consiglio a pieni voti. Sia per le famiglie che per una fuga romantica. Dimenticavo...ammessi anche i cani. Complimenti ad Augusto....e grazie ancora.

We loved the pool, the beautiful house with all crystal chandeliers, the park with all statues, the cat, the tennis court and the host with all his generousity and tips on what to do and where to go (and not) when in Cortona and Tuscany. On top there was a small kitchen and a washing machine that made the stay so easy and comfortable for us.

We have stayed here on 4 or 5 occasions and fall in love with it again every time we visit. It is in the heart of one of the most beautiful areas of Tuscany - Cortona - an 11th century stunning hill town [where Under the Tuscan Sun was filmed] surrounded by truly magnificent countryside and restaurants. Augusto who owns the property speaks virtually fluent English and couldn't be more helpful. He is always contactable by phone and happy to book taxis or restaurants for us. The pool is immaculately clean and the most peaceful place in the world. I just can't recommend this place more highly for a truly wonderful holiday. There is a washing machine, dishwasher, sunbeds [with sun shades], books - just everything at hand. The grounds are perfectly tended and everywhere clean and tidy. Lemons and figs in abundance on the trees. I would say a car is definitely needed but only to drive up to the town which takes 5 mins [but would be a fairly arduous walk]. Camucia train station a 4 min drive with trains regularly to everywhere in Italy. We often got the train to Florence for the day. Heaven on earth. A magnificent holiday AGAIN

Staying in Villa Augusto is an unusual experience. All the time you are surrounded by the antique art starting with paintings on the walls, the furniture from the Renaissance in the rooms, the Margherita of Cortona statue and other made look aged statues around buildings of the Villa Augusto. We enjoyed long walks in the area, dining outside and the friendliness of the owner. The bedroom was ok but still it was an interesting feeling like you are sleeping in a museum. The only thing we missed was the washing machine but the owner himself took our laundry and brought it next morning washed and even ironed. Thank you, Augusto!
