This was our 6th visit to Venice, and the first time we have booked an apartment rather than staying in a hotel, and we couldn't have hit on a better place. The location was as good as you could wish for, a few steps from St Mark's Square, and only a few minutes' walk to Rialto or Accademia. The flat was spotless, comfortable and a great place to return to after a serious day's exploring. Paolo was so helpful in explaining every aspect of the flat, together with recommendations for places to visit and eat. If you are thinking of visiting Venice, this would be a great place to stay - just don't book the week we want to come back.

Excellent Apartment
We were recommended staying at Roberto & Paolo's apartment by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Excellent and convenient location, spacious and spotlessly clean. Also some nice extras such as coffee provided and it was safe and secure for our belongings. Paolo & Roberta were excellent hosts and very generous with their time with their meet and greet. It was our first trip to Venice and Paolo gave us a brilliant overview of Venice that only a local could provide. Excellent all round and highly recommended. Thank you for an excellent stay.

Absolutely perfect in every way, definitely a return visit.
These hosts deserve to be rated even higher than is possible! The apartment is charming and traditional, in a centuries-old building. Everything is thought of and taken care of, better service than even a nice hotel would provide. Insight and advice from the host were genuine and honest, and they care about your happiness with their city.

Great place to stay.
This proved to be ideal accommodation for our 4 day stay in Venice. The location was very convenient and the apartment was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Paolo and Roberta were excellent hosts.

Gorgeous flat; meticulous owner, better than a high end hotel!
My wife and I are touring many cities in Italy, my wife for the first time. Of all our different city rentals, Paolo’s was the most beautiful and well appointed. My wife and I are very meticulous about our own home and found a kindred spirit in owner Paolo. Every detail has been thought of. Many other rentals lacked basics like shower soap and tissues—Paolo’s bathroom is hotel-like. He met us at the vaparetto stop only 4 minutes from the flat. The flat is a 2 minute walk from St. Mark’s Square and 1 minute to La Fenice concert hall. The flat looks out over a high end shopping street but it was never noisy, unlike in some cities we have stayed.
Paolo is rightly proud of this flat in his family’s ancestral home. The flight of carpeted stairs may be a little steep for some but we did not find it a problem even with suitcases. The kitchen is well appointed although we only used a wine bottle opener. Paolo spent a good 30 minutes with us explaining how everything worked, including door locks in and out of the beautiful courtyard entrance, the multiple TV stations, heat, etc. Finally, Paolo gave us excellent trattoria recommendations, a neat side trip to see the only remaining gondola boatyard, and of course the museums and churches to see. We walked the entire circuit in 6 hours. We would happily return to Paolo’s flat when we return to Venice.

Absolutely highest marks for this vacation rental! The location is superb – literally under one minute to St. Mark’s Square if you hustle. Very upscale neighborhood. Your host Paolo is thoroughly professional, warm, and welcoming. Lots of space for the money – living/dining/small kitchen combo separated by a short hallway from a beautifully modernized full bath and a bedroom. The apartment and building have plenty of charm.

Great location, spacious and comfortable.
This was our first stop in Italy and it set the tone for our stay. Beautiful accommodations and Paolo was so helpful getting us situated as well as answering our questions prior to arrival. It was our first trip so we needed help getting to Venice from the airport and Paolo had all the answers as well as meeting us at the Alilunga Giglio stop. Once there, we realized how centrally located this apartment is and we spent our days walking the city. It was a wonderful place to come home to each day and fun people watching out the second story windows.

First rate apartment in the centre of Venice
This apartment is just about perfect. It is located on the main street in Venice 50metres from the Grand Canal and only 100 metres from St Marks Square - so all of the main attractions are only a short distance away. The apartment is nicely furnished and spotlessly clean with a full kitchen. The fridge was stocked with fresh milk and a variety of other goodies such as butter, jam, yoghurt, water and fruit juice to get you started. Paulo and Roberta left us a beautiful traditional Venetian cake which was delicious. The apartment had everything you could need, there were even spare new toothbrushes in case you had forgotten to pack one! Paulo met us from the taxi and provided lots of very useful information about what to do and where to go.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone and plan to return in the very near future ourselves.

Location could not be better. Apartment is spotless and well stocked with essentials. Paolo met us at the boat stop and helped with luggage. Lots of helpful information and maps. Apartment definitely has a woman's touch. Thank you Roberta. Thanks to Paolo for all your advise. Remember to wear your most comfortable shoes. Lots of steps and bridges.

Great stay!
Paolo was a wonderful host, he explained Venice in every details and even prepared snacks water juice and milk for us. The apartment is large bright and comfortable, and the location can't be better! I will definitely recommend it to all visitors.
