Great stay. Amazing host. Tube nearby giving good access to all major city attractions. Great residential neighbourhood with local life. Clean flat with all basic amenities.

Il posto è molto ben raggiungibile essendo a pochi centinai di metri dalla fermata metro e avendo diversi autobus che passano alla strada accanto e che portano in centro. La casa è dotata di tutti i confort che possono essere utili quali wifi, microonde, cucina abitabile, un bagno grande con tutti gli accessori necessari, phon, lavatrice e anche un balconcino. Tutto molto pulito e il proprietario sempre disponibile e cortese. Vivamente consigliata.

I stayed at Sylvio's apartment in August 2015. Sylvio's son was patiently waiting since we were delayed at the airport. All necessary items for cooking and coffee available. Apartment was clean and neat with hairdryer, great wi-fi and air con worked. Lovely little balcony and we enjoyed cocktails while the sun was setting. Ten minute walk to the metro and the bus stop was on the corner. A superrette up a side street and even Eataly was within walking distance. Because of the proximity to the city, taxi fair was very reasonable. Don't expect a microwave or an electric kettle - this is how the locals live. Would definitely go back or recommend. El apartamento es tal como se indica, pero no tiene microondas, sino horno eléctrico, la cocina estaba muy sucia con grasa y pocos utensilios para cocinar, y en general muy descuidado, El aire acondicionado no funciono en ningún momento, a pesar de nuestras quejas y pasamos muchísimo calor por la noche. El último día se fue la corriente eléctrica y nadie paso a reparar. Apartamento antiguo, que necesita una remodelación , POSITIVO El ultimo día nos dejaron salir mas tarde el apartamento

The other reviews are accurate decent SAFE place at a good price, it has the essentials (AC/TV/WIFI) . You will be busy being a tourist by day (Rome is Awesome) so it is nice to have a place like this to come to at night and get away from the tourists. Silvio did a great job, he arranged for a van to pick us up from the airport and the same for the return. This was lower cost then calling a cab and we had someone waiting with a sign at the airport. Took a lot of stress out of finding the apartment and arranging to meet. The area is residential and away from the tourists. Friendly area with good shops and places to eat. You will find that a lot of people have limited English, but they will all work with you.. see tips below for more info. Tips for staying at this apartment (and some for Rome) - Money Exchange- Use the post office and your ATM card for the best deal- exit apartment turn left, right, left- post office up the street on the other side. - Bus Pass- Across from the post office and just up the street you will see a shop- it sells muli-passes 1day or 3day. this gets you on buses, trams, and metro. - Cell Service- Must have- Wind Service $30eu got me a sim card/1 month service with internet. The internet is very important as you can downoad bus apps and metro apps (recommended). Put the card in at the store and make sure they set the AP settings or you will not get internet. - Bus/Metro- Exit the appartment, turn right, next right and the bus stop is .1 miles on the same side. Bus 716 to the end drops you in the center of the city (20 min). You can take this bus and a bunch of others a couple stops down and get to the Gabetella Train stop. Internet apps- You want Google Translate, this is big help if you are in a jam, talk in English it will translate to Italian..and reverse. A must have when traveling abroad. RomaBus- shows the routes and even shows the arrival times in real time.- Rome Metro- for the train/subway system Google Goggles- Take a picture of anything and it tells you all about it. Great when you have no tour guide - Restaurants- We liked this one the best Ristorante Pizzeria La Torricella 2 Di D'Alfonsi Circonvallazione Ostiense, 192, They had Enlglish translation on the menu and the food was really nice at a good price. There is also a small restaurant directly across from the entrance to the apartment, it had good food, but no translation. Lots of other places nearby, look where the local's eat and you will not be disappointed. Supermarkets- Turn left and right and on this street on your right is a nice supermarket, next to it is a nice produce stand. The tall guy in the Deli speaks some English. Warning- These stores are closed on Sunday, so if you dont plan ahead you will be buying from smaller shops with much more limited selections. Rome- We got the Architectural 1 week Pass, gets you into more places then we had time to visit, purchase these at the information center on the way to the Colosseum and you can skip the long line) If you have not been to Rome Must do are the Coliseum, Forum and Palatine Hill, of course the Sistine Chapel is a must do, we waited in line (moves fast) vs the expensive tours (hounding you while on line). We paid to walk to the top, was a real experience but you need to be in good shape (660 steps some very difficult, narrow, steep every kind of step stairs imaginable in one visit). Street Vendors- All over Rome, Dont pay asking price, we were getting 50% off in most cases. Special Treat if you are flying Business class- The Alitalia lounge before you enter security can check you and your bags in. They have a real working flight simulator and pilot, so while you are waiting you and your kids can fly the sim. Great fun.

As a regular visitor to Rome and always staying in hotels wanted to try something different so rented this apartment for a week,(wish I’d done it sooner.)The apartment is in a residential area not far from Ostiense station, about a 15 minute walk although there is a bus stop outside the building that runs every 11 minutes ( roman time) and a subway stop at the end of the road 5 or 6 minutes walk so transport links were great there’s even a bus that runs all night to the end of the road (No N9)we had a weekly ticket which was great we certainly got our money’s worth Plenty of nice shops, eateries, street stalls and a small market nearby so everything you need was close by. The apartment was clean and adequate for most needs, the bed was comfy, plenty of towels bed linen etc and even a washing machine & an iron in the apartment so you could travel light. Our hosts were great, we were met on arrival and were given lots of great tips as to the area, travel, restaurants, etc really helpful, it was like staying in a friend’s house .So I would say if you’re going to Rome & want a great value apartment in a real Roman neighbourhood try this you won’t be disappointed and compared to a hotel with this much space you`ll save a fortune. Would go back again no problem.

Stayed here over Easter for a week. Nice little apartment with bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and small balcony. This place is in a residential area which is busy and noisy during the day but extremely quiet at night, which is good because we were out all day anyway. The transport links are excellent, there is a bus stop right outside and it is a short walk to the nearest metro(garbatella). It is also very close to our favourite area of Rome, Trastevere. There is a local market nearby and a great fruit and veg shop where we got fruit for our breakfast each morning. Sylvio and Julius were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The apartment was adequate for our needs and it was great having a washing machine and a an airer on the balcony. The shower was a bit dated and the water wasn't always red hot but it was no problem. Would stay again and would recommend.
