We came for a week in April 2019. We never met the landlady (Luisa), it was Maurizio who greeted us and helped with everything. He was very nice and speaks perfect English. It’s a very small apartment, double bed is psychologically separated from the living room/kitchenette with a glass door which is never closed because space is so limited. Issues: (1) The apartment is not at all as bright as it looks in the photographs, it’s a little dark, and on street level. There are two opaque glass doors serving as windows (so you don’t want to open them). Sunshine comes in just a little, and only late afternoon. (2) There is no internet (despite what it says in the listing). There is a ridiculous device which provided very poor internet when we arrived. We complained, SIM card in the device was replaced, lasted only a day (we only tried to buy tickets to museums…), we complained again but, in fact, gave up, and did the rest of the week without internet. (3) Kitchen is actually a kitchenette and especially ill-equipped, with badly scratched non-stick cooking pans, no dish rags, no cutting board, no cutting knife, no dish-washing sponge. There are two electric stove tops but using them at the same time blows a fuse. The microwave works well, but again, must be used on its own for the reason mentioned above. We had to do away with the cooking despite high recommendations in the ad for cooking in the apartment. (4) One of the little stools which serve as chairs in the living room/dining area is dangerously shaky and needed to be put together forcefully every time, we stopped using it, obviously. To sum up: no cooking, no internet, uncomfortable dining options – this apartment works best if you come there after a long day and go straight to bed. Good things: excellent location, beautiful, quiet area. The apartment was clean, the bed firm and comfortable, and in the bathroom, everything worked well, there was plenty of hot water, and everything is new and clean. The apartment was warm (I can’t tell what summer will be like there, since there are no windows to open), and we slept well.

This little apartment is a gem in the heart of the ancient Rome district around the Forum & Palatine Hill area. With the building facing the Palatine Hill, it literally sits at the foot of the Imperial residences of the Roman Republic. Not only is the apartment ideally located for history enthusiasts, the interior is tastefully decorated in a classic style & is pristine. Simple cooking facilities of a hob & microwave allow for easy meals and heating is supplied for cooler months. We did not need it in October with temperatures in the mid-20s. The area is safe and secure (guarded by the army) but there are few places to eat in the immediate vicinity. There is a grocery store & cafe beside Campidoglio Piazza just nearby and a smaller grocery store on the street the bedrooms looks out on. On Sat & Sun an organic farmers' market opens in the warehouse to the right of the front door further down the lane. We suggest walking to Trastevere for dinner. The concierge who hands over the keys is impeccable in his service & you can rely on him to arrange taxis for your arrival/departure if needed. There is a sofa which unfolds to make a bed but they supplied us with a better foldable bed for our week-long stay for three people. Highly recommend & hope to return!

On a quiet eclectic street adjacent to the Forum, this apartment is within close walking distance of restaurants, cafe, a market, Metro, Palentine Hill & Colosseum, Trastevere. The apartment itself is as advertised and provided a fun and comfortable home base for 1 adult and 1 child (7 years old).

El apartamento es excelente en un barrio arqueologico lleno de monumentos y edificios con historia. Por ese mismo motivo hay que andar un poco para tomar transportes pero no molesta. Impecalbemente limpio, bien equipado, amplio, fresco, muy comodo. Sabanas y toallas blanquisimas y cama muy comoda. El encargado de recibirte con las llaves ( Sr. Maurizio) es muy atento, siempre dispuesto a ayudarte con lo que necesites. Sin dudas volvería. Mi estancia en Roma fue inolvidable.

This was my first time to Rome and my first stop on a 5 week trip to Italy with my husband. I can't stop thinking about this amazing apartment. It is down the block from the most stunning view of the Roman Forum, and you can walk around the Campidoglio at night when so few people are around. There are adorable little restaurants around the apartment, and it is in a very nice building in a quiet corner. The cleanliness and spaciousness of the bedroom, bathroom and sitting area are quite impressive compared to many of my other lodging experiences in Italy or in any large city. I just can't believe the deal for the location, the comfy bed, the quiet building. If you are heading to Rome to explore the ancient sites and are interested in this area of town, but you want a local feel that is away from the hordes of tourists, this is definitely the apartment for you. We got in very late from the airport, but meeting up and getting the key was no problem. I would definitely come back to this apartment when visiting Rome in the future.

My wife and I just recently stayed here for part of our honeymoon and I have to say that I was quite surprised at how excellent the location was. The apartment was in pristine condition and looks as good as what you see in the pictures and the view outside is quite incredible. Inside the apartment comes with all the necessary pots and pans, glasses, utensils and a wine bottle opener which is a must need. There may not be wi-if listed for the apartment but if you set your device to join network, there is a free connection with a strong signal that you can access in the apartment (not sure where it comes from) which was convenient and allowed us to skype with our kids back in Canada. A short walk in either direction of the apartment will lead you to great little bars and restaurants that have some great coffee/ food at a very reasonable price, not to mention the short walk to the colosseum/ roman forum and some incredible basilicas that you can walk right into. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome and will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Rome.

WOW!! As first timers to Rome we wanted something other than a hotel room. After months of searching and sending requests we found Campidoglio. Very easy dealing with Luisa she was very quick with e-mail responses. So we decided to book and are we glad we did. We had a not so pleasant experience in Venice so were a little uneasy as we arrived. we were met as promised and shown the apt. This apt is perfect (ok for a longer stay a washing machine would be nice but there is one in about a 10-15 min walk) We had plenty of room for the 2 of us, a very large bedroom and fantastic bathroom. We did not cook in our unit but could have, all the necessary utensils are there. Apt was spotless and tastefully decorated, perfect for couples stay in Rome. Location is great, directly behind Palentine Hill, walk out and turn left in less than 5 minutes you are overlooking the Forum wow. Within 2-5 minutes walk you have a small grocery store and a couple of restaurant's so everything is convenient. Luisa Thanks for making our first trip to Rome so enjoyable, we will return P/C

This is a good place to stay: clean, (fairly) quiet, nicely decorated, new bathroom and great shower. But it's very much just a holiday apartment, and by that I mean that there's nothing left in the cupboards (not even coffee) and no cooking equipment, no wifi or phone reception, and no washing machine. Of course, you're in Rome, so you're unlikely to plan to spend a lot of time there, but it's basically a glorified, spacious hotel room rather than a proper apartment. Location wise, it's fine, but there are no shops nearby to buy essentials from - though there's a great farmers' market on the street. It was fine, but I'd probably stay somewhere else on my next trip.
