For this price, you won't find a better hotel or apartment in Rome! Book now! I've stayed in many hotels and B&Bs in Rome, and I am often left feeling disappointed by the quality, cleanliness, or treatment by staff. My experience in this apartment was completely different, standing out for several reasons.
First of all, the owner of the apartment is extremely friendly and accommodating, making guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive. This is a huge departure from the infamous Roman inhospitality.
Secondly, the apartment's location is PERFECT for anyone planning on visiting the Vatican and the historic center of Rome! From the window in the main room you can literally see over the walls of Vatican City, sometimes catching a glimpse of the action inside. Within 5 minutes walk is the metro stop "Ottaviano", several bars and restaurants, and the important shopping street "Via Cola di Rienzo". With the metro you can reach the main train station "Termini" in approximately 15 minutes, or arrive to Piazza del Popolo, Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, etc. in less than 10 minutes.
Last but not least, the apartment itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. Unlike many other touristic apartments in the city, the apartment has true Italian character. In addition to a large main bedroom and sitting room, there is a small studio with a sofa, two large (and modern!) bathrooms, a large eat-in kitchen, and another sitting room. This is no average holiday rental- this feels like a true home! I spent 4 days here, but I could easily imagine myself staying there for a longer period and living like a true Roman.
For those who prefer the services of a hotel, such as a front-desk or doorman, please note that this building has a "portiere" who is always available to help and answer questions. Of course, the owners are also accessible for anything you may need!
I would recommend this to anyone, but I think the apartment is especially well suited for larger groups and families. I for one am already planning on staying here on my next trip to Rome!
