Lovely well equipped apartment in the centre of Madrid. On first floor on a street filled with restaurants & clubs. Walking distance to everywhere. We got a taxi from the airport for 30 euro, & only used the train to get to El Escorial. The double bed was very comfortable & the room had tons of storage, both hanging & drawers. Our 30year old daughter slept on the sofa bed for 3 nights & said it was also very comfortable, there was also a small wardrobe in the living area for her clothes. The bathroom was compact, with a powerful shower & shower gel, shampoo , loo rolls & hairdryer supplied. The kitchen was well equipped with a very large fridge, freezer, toaster etc, although we only used the kettle! An iron & ironing board are also supplied. It was a very clean & well kept apartment, perfect for a couple, but adequate for 3 adults. The owner Juan is lovely, good communication via message in box, so we could use a translator app to understand each other. Whilst we were there , there was a problem with the bathroom light, & he came & fixed it as soon as we asked him to, he also gave us free hot chocolate & churros at the cafe he owns "Chocolate" which were delicious. The only downside of our stay, was the noise in the evening when the clubs opposite were open between 10pm & 4/5am., caused by the patrons either arriving, leaving or smoking below our bedroom window. So I would say it's best for a couple who go out clubbing late, as the street is quiet in the day, but if you come back early, like us, don't forget your earplugs & eye mask!
