August holiday
We have just returned from a 2 week stay in the apartment.
I have to agree with other reviews that the location for the beach is superb, just across the road, we often left our towels etc on the beach and popped back for a civilised lunch on the front balcony.
We were 5 sharing and were warned it wasn’t ideal for so many but we coped, the weather was high 20s most days and nights so the air conditioning was very welcome indeed.
The apartment key was passed to us by the owners agent named Gaby who was spot on, she was very good when we needed her during our stay too.
The apartment has beach brollies, goggles and beach chairs so you don’t need to buy any, this was a massive bonus to us.
We stayed in Antibes 2 years ago in Tamaco apartments which were ok but had no air conditioning so were awfully hot.
If you’re eating out we’d recommend Amore which is 200yds away and In the old towns square a restaurant called Margarita.
To be honest there’s dozens to choose from.
Day trip to Nice by train costed about 10 Euros each return for 1st class and we also went Cannes which cost half that.
We recommend the Petit Train in Nice and Cannes to give you a good idea about the places, Antibes petit train isn’t running this year for some reason.

By the way there is building work over the road to erect a very snazzy new sailing school, it’s a bit noisy at times but you could tell it’s through the worst now.
When it’s complete around Xmas it’ll look awesome.

Thank you very much for this detailed review. The sailing school works were announced at very short notice but we look forward to completion this winter when we are sure the resiults with a new pedestrian area in front of George Sand will be worth the pain.

Nice, convenient stay, in a very good location
We spent two weeks in July in this nice and flexible appartment. We were only two adults this time, but we wanted to have a little extra space and beds for occasional guests. I think that a family of 2 adults and 1-3 children could have a comfortable stay in the appartment.
Everything in the appartment is well functioning. Kitchen utensils were perfectly ok, but perhaps a little to few plates, glasses etc if you are more than two people staying for a while and you want to cook and eat at home. Good wifi. Really good private parking space in the back of the building.
The appartment is well located in the house, and is therefore not too hot when it is hot outside. Two balconies in different directions gives a great choice between shadow and sun. The location is perfect for a combination of beach life, city life and exploring the surroundings.
Unfortunately, the ongoing construction in front of the sea-facing balcony was quite noisy and disturbing, and naturally it made the sea view less amazing. The building will be a low one however, so, once it is ready, I think that the view from the balcony will be really nice again.
Our host Ian was very easy to communicate with and we really appreciated the efforts he made to make it possible for us to arrive late at night.
We really hope that we will have the opportunity to come back, and we strongly recommend this place if you want to have a really good base camp for a vacation in the area.

Many thanks for this kind review of our apartment. We are pleased you enjoyed your holiday. The beach side renovation works were sprung on us at a months notice and should be finished this winter when to the left of the beach we should overlook a new espace pietonne and a smart sailing club.

Great Location
Excellent location. A pity about the building work on the beach. But that id being stopped between July and August. Would suggest that if going to the beach (across the street) get there early as I'm sure that during the peak months and especially weekends it fills up very quickly. Antibes and Juan les Pins are must visit places on everyones itinerary.

thank you kindly for this review. Unforunataly the work to make significant improvents to the facilities and other features of the water front and yacht clubs including provision of a new pedestrian space in front of our flat was sprung on us at very short notice last year by the Mairie and should be completed this coming winter. As you say work stops as always during the summer holidays. The quality of la Salis beach and its facilities speak for themselves and no doubt account for its popularity but there is usually space to be found. One spot we always recommend is the point de Bacon, a bit of a walk but worth the effort.

Great location, facilities, support from Gaby, the local rep, made our all too short holiday very pleasant indeed.
The flat is not large but contains virtually everything you're likely to need and is not over-filled with things are no longer needed in the owners home! Good quality fittings as well. The two balconies are great!
We know the local area quite well from previous visits to a nearby flat and highly recommend the bakery nearby. We also started using the local bus service (no. 14). It's very handy once you've worked out the times and routes!
We will be back! (Already booked)

Very nice
The location is ideal for Antibes old town and Juan le Pins - 15 minute walk to either. Salis beach is a great spot with a few restaurants nearby, beaches on the doorstep with coffee and snack vendors right on the beach - ideal for that morning coffee with a newspaper or book in the sunshine. The apartment is very well equiped, a choice of balconies - sea/old town was my favourite - and support from the owners was very good. Would recommend the boulangerie 5 minutes away although shop for groceries in Antibes and not locally as it is almost twice the price of the larger, central supermarkets. We had a great break and the fact the apartment was ideal meant we could just get on with relaxing and enjoying ourselves. We will very likely book to stay here again.

Bel appartement bien situé
Bel appartement bien situé, toutes commodités, parking privé, ascenseur, climatisation, très belle vue sur la mer. Idéal pour couple + 2 enfants.
