Welcome to our little cottage betwixt the Moors and the Sea - The Castle House, our newest holiday cottage, less than a mile from the bustling and historic seaside town of Whitby!
We sleep 5 in 3 bedrooms (plus travel cot), have private, off street parking with new EV charging point, good sized enclosed rear garden with lawn and large patio area and everything you need for your very own 'home from home' experience.
We welcome dogs free of charge but please contact us before booking to discuss numbers/age rest...

Beautiful and peaceful cottage to recharge your batteries 😁
Beautiful home from home little cottage. Everything has been well thought of both for our stay and for anyone's pooches. The garden is beautiful and safe for pooches to wonder without the worry of getting out 😁. It was so peaceful and we were well rested even after a full day of activities with my grandkids 😁. Highly recommend this little gem of a place 😍

A little gem!
What a little gem of a place. Not particularly a looker from the outside, but once inside it is beautiful. The hosts provided so much! Toilet rolls, washing up liquid, soap, cleaning products , tea, coffee - we really only had to get food. Even dog bowls, blankets and dog treats! It was spotlessly clean and the little garden was lovely to sit out in. It is a little walk into town - about 20 mins -but an enjoyable one. Would not hesitate to recommend. We loved it!

A little gem for a lovely stay in the area.
Such a lovely stay in this immaculately presented property. Excellent communication and we really appreciated the treats left for us. Allowing our dog access all areas was crucial for us; with a dog with anxiety, leaving him downstairs wasn't an option. Taking our own bedding was a small price to play. Fully enclosed garden gave us confidence that our pooch was safe. Will definitely book again if we're in the area.

Castle house review
Ideally located for a short walk into Whitby via the cliff tops . Accomadation was very clean and the beds were extremely comfy . We were a family of four with a Labrador and there was ample space for us all . Excellent communication and the detailed map and review of dog friendly pubs were extremely helpful.
We found that all the car parks within Whitby were free during this time of the year which I think is worth mentioning.
Very happy with our stay 5/5
The house is geared up for a log burner and I think having one would be the icing on the cake . I personally wouldn’t mind spending £10 on a bag of logs for a few nights

We considered putting in a log burner during the old girl's renovation but given the risk assessment and recent changes to the legislation, we're glad we didn't, so hope this won't be a detriment.

Lovely spacious cottage
Lovely cottage with spacious rooms and a beautiful little garden. Every need was catered for. Located within a few minutes drive to Whitby harbour

Another Great Stay
Yet another lovely stay at Castle House. It has everything you could want. Lovely comfy beds, enclosed garden, dog welcoming and a very attentive owner. Great base to see all the lovely villages round about and no problem parking as private drive that accomodates two medium size cars. Great pub and Lidl close by. Lovely walk into Whitby on the prom. Never fails to please. Heres to my next visit which will be the eighth. Highly recommend.

Fantastic holiday cottage
Fantastic home from home. The house was spotless and the garden dog and child friendly. Off street parking bonus... Nichola was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her.

Comfortable, convenient and quirky
We had a great stay in Whitby, based at Castle House.
Communication with the owner was excellent all through the process and a small issue was immediately dealt with.
The rooms were comfortable, warm and very clean.
Everything we needed was there, and tea/coffee on arrival was a lovely touch. The Lidl is just a short walk away.
The beds were all very comfy with lovely white bedding that invited you in. There is a toilet upstairs and downstairs which is very convenient (!)
The car charger on the drive is very handy and removed all possible 'range anxiety ' that you might have.
We'd definitely stay there again if we go back to the area

Amazing stay!
The Castle House has absolutely everything to make you feel so at home.
Perfectly located with private parking and just a nice 25 min stroll to the town centre.
We took our 2 pugs with us and even they were catered for with bowls, leads, towels and treats!
Nichola provided lots of useful information even down to local pubs and restaurants and walking directions.
Highly recommend!
