Having read most of the reviews on Angelica’s flat, it really is hard to add much (if anything). However, just stating ‘ditto’ would just not be right.
Steadily since 2004, we have rented apartments in Europe. They were in many towns (and cities) in France, Italy, Spain, Ibiza, Funchal (Portugal), Netherlands and Belgium. More were in the UK (London, Cornwall, many places in Scotland and several in Wales). There you have our CV on rentals.
We have stayed in flats that are not at all like they were supposed to be. For instance - haunted, or not in a real town (or village), or smaller, or moldy, or ceilings leaking or 55 steps and no lift. As well as extremely noisy, no real internet, no owner ever present (had us a bit worried that we were actually squatting). It does go on but I won’t.
This flat in London was, we feel, the best that we have stayed in. All the things that could go wrong (even small ones) did not show up. It was just perfect. No ghosts, no steps – you’ve already read this haven’t you?
Some real surprises – real dishes. Not the kind that we almost always find. Also, a great selection of glasses, knives, cutlery, lighting in the bathroom, everything!
Although we were met by Carol (she was wonderful), Angelica showed up not too long after. She was, by the way, lovely, mindful and easy to keep in touch with. Not at all like Madame Beatrice (who we think still haunts the accommodations in Fourques).
If you don’t stay here then ask yourself “why?” You could get a fifth story flat with no elevator.
