Our family of two adults and three teenaged kids stayed here for 8 days during the Queen's jubilee. Overall we had a pretty good experience, but this rental does have some notable issues.
The pros: Melissa was very communicative, which I really appreciated. We had everything we needed for a smooth check-in, far in advance of our arrival. The rental is also situated in a good neighborhood, just a short walk to Farringdon station. Our family made thorough use of the two full bathrooms, and having a full laundry room made a big difference, too!
The cons: First, don't miss the fact that this rental is four stories, so you'll be doing LOTS of stair climbing. This wasn't a major problem for us, but it is rather inconvenient. We also found the beds to be very uncomfortable. My husband and I could feel every spring and coil in the master mattress. The place is also very sparsely supplied, with only one set of linens per person, just a few rolls of toilet paper, no paper towels, and no pantry basics besides a handful of spices. Also note that the pub a few doors down is quite loud on weekend nights. We were kept awake into the wee hours by loud music.
Since we were looking for a space suitable for a larger family in central London, this fit the bill, but it wasn't anything fabulous.

Thank you for taking time to write a review. I am sorry that you found the largest bed uncomfortable. The small pub on the corner of the mews is usually closed at weekends and occasionally it hosts private parties on Saturday nights. Your visit coincided with a four-day holiday and a moment of national celebration marking Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee (70 years as Queen). Pubs and bars were given a one-off extension to their licensing hours and permitted to stay open until 1am (they usually close at 11pm). There were parties all over the UK that weekend and, for the benefit of future guests reading this review, the neighbourly noise that weekend is not typical.
This is a three bedroom family house with two bathrooms in central London, laid out over four storeys. It is priced as a family house and we keep that price affordable by not offering the hotel-type service that you seem to be expecting; daily fresh towels, daily replenishing of toilet rolls, food supplies. There is tea, coffee and sugar as well as salt, pepper, herbs, spices and breakfast cereal in the kitchen cupboard. The supermarket is a 3 minute walk. However, if you had contacted me during your stay and raised these issues or requested extra towels or toilet rolls, I would have dropped in with extra supplies.

Perfect location and great accommodation for our family with teenage children
Melissa the owner was great with answering questions and replying to my emails.
The apartment is set over 4 floors with steep staircase. For our family, 2 adults & 2 teenage children it was perfect set up. (if you don't like stairs or have very young children probably not suited) Everyone had a bedroom and there is a lounge/dinning/kitchen on the top floor. Bathrooms very very clean. The Kitchen had everything you need for cooking but we didn't cook as we choose to use the local pubs for dinner. On arrival the house was very clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. There is a supermarket very close 2mins walk for bits and pieces and lots of pubs for meals. Make sure you go to the De Olde Mitre pub built in 1546 - very small but GREAT place to meet locals. For breakfast you can't go past the coffee shop Buffet Bar on Kirby Street again less than 2mins walk.
We did not feel unsafe at this location at anytime.
Location was perfect for us. 2min walk to Farringdon train station which has London subway and nation rail platforms. We used the subway everyday to get around London and caught trains to and from Cambridge & Brighton for day visits. The staff at the station are so helpful so if you are like us not use to subway or train travel - don't worry just ask the staff and they will tell you the best options.
We walked to St. Paul's Cathedral from the house a couple of times during our stay. Takes about 15mins and there is a stop for the London Hop On Hop Off bus at St Paul's Cathedral. All in all we cannot fault our stay at this accommodation. Melissa the owner was great, Location was perfect, very clean & great set up for our family. If we visit London as a family again we will book this house again.

Excellent home away from home
Stayed here for 5 days prior to two weeks in Germany and France.
On the larger size for the European norm. Spread out over 4 floors gave us a bit of space from our teenage "children" and the two bathrooms kept the squabbles to a minimum. Beds were super comfortable and clean and the facilities were excellent.
Kitchen was big enough to justifiably be called that rather than a "kitchenette" and if like us you don't eat out every night there was enough room to create a real meal for a family.
Melissa was prompt in replies and let us know we could move in early which after a long flight was greatly appreciated.
Would stay again and highly recommend.

Happy guests
We are a family of 4 adults and 2 children (11 & 8) and all enjoyed our time in this apartment. Cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and all transport close-by and an enjoyable walk into the city centre was not a problem for us. The apartment was modern, comfy and clean. A great place to stay in London!

Perhaps the best place I've ever stayed in London
The clerkenwell loft is really amazing. It's spacious and has great areas - private and public - for a group or family to use. We booked expecting three people would stay there, but suddenly had to fit five when my sister's rental (on another site that shall remain nameless) fell through.
The upper part with the kitchen and living room is brand new, spacious and light filled. The three bedrooms can sleep six comfortably. We had a group of five for a week so the laundry room saw heavy use as well. The washer and dryer worked great.
The neighborhood is close to everything and authentic. There are some amazing restaurants nearby, and it's the local underground stop (2 blocks) is also a major rail gateway that made it trivially easy for us to get to Gatwick Airport.
Bottom line - this place delivers. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. And you should too.

Fabulous Accommodation
We are a family of 5. We stayed in Melissa's home in June 2018. Beautiful home, had everything you would need for a vacation. Very modern decor. Near to train station and shops and restaurants. Very safe area. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Wonderful apartment
The converted loft in Clerkenwell is a complete apartment, perfect space for our family, great location close to everywhere we toured. Walking distance to the centre of London, & around the corner from great eating & the tube. We recommend this accommodation to families or groups of friends visiting London.

Great family apartment close to city
Stayed here for 6 days with our two teenagers. Great location down a small London street, laneway
Close to 2 underground’s stations within 5 min walks and the buses are only 2 streets away
Leather lane great for lunches throughout the week, but as a busy office district, pubs are very crowded throughout the week so don’t plan on have a quiet pub meal
House has everything you need for comfort after a long day of sightseeing
Stairs we fine for all of us and a bit of a novelty - super cute and comfortable house
Kitchen great, laundry room a must to use with wet London days and heating was comfortable throughout the whole stay
A lovely London experience, would recommend and return to if we had the chance

During your trip in the second week of December, the pubs were no doubt full of office workers enjoying team Christmas lunches. I'm afraid London does not do quiet from the end of November until Christmas Eve! Those same pubs will be desperate for your custom now that (dry) January is here.

Great apartment for us
My wife and took our niece and nephew on a trip to London. This apartment was great. We were a quick walk to a major metro station. During the week their were the sounds from the bar down the block, but that is why you stay in the city. Great restaurants in the area. We cooked dinner in a couple nights and did take out. From the here we either walked or took the Metro everywhere. You will need to be able to walk stairs as the living space is on the 4th floor. Our nephew called it the upside house. Great windows and skylight on the top floor.

For the sake of clarity, the living room and kitchen are on the third floor if you are using UK English, but this becomes the fourth floor if you are using American English. Either way it is three flights of stairs from the street door to the top floor.

Fantastic apartment with everything we wanted. Great location and excellent information and directions suppled by Melissa. Most definitely stay if we get to London again. Only complaint would be the flat was hot but considering London was having a heat wave it was to be expected.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. Yes, London is having a surprising bout of hot weather with temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius every day for two weeks. London has not had a summer like this since 1976.
If the house is too warm, I suggest that guests
1 Keep the blinds closed during the day
2 Open the big picture window in the top floor living room.
3 Open the skylight in the top floor living room. This creates airflow and allows the whole house to cool down.
London homes do not typically have air-conditioning.
My usual summer advice is to carry sunglasses, a cardigan and an umbrella in your bag every day. I believe the weather will be back to the usual pattern of cloudy with sunny spells and some showers next week.
With the England football team appearing the World Cup semi-final and the prolonged sunny weather, 2018 has been a once-in-a-generation summer.
