Perfect cottage for exploring Ely
We needed self-catering accommodation near the centre of Ely for 3 nights. Willow Cottage proved to be the perfect choice in every respect. Only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town, the cottage is very clean, very well fitted out and very comfortable. Tracey (the owner) couldn't be more helpful. We would like to return to Ely for a longer stay during warmer weather and Willow Cottage will be our first choice.

Perfect cosy cottage
The cottage had everything you needed and more! Perfect location to walk into town. We used the cottage to visit our relatives (2 adults and 2 children 12 and 15). Loved the little courtyard garden and cosy living room. The kitchen was lovely with everything you needed. Extremely clean and would definitely use again. Thank you Tracey for a lovely stay.

Perfect Cottage in a great location
Willow cottage is in a perfect location to explore Ely .Easy flat 5min walk to shops ,pubs ,restaurants and Ely centre .Clean and cosy and well equipped .The beds were comfy and nice fluffy towels .Tracey the host was very helpful and accomodating .We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Perfectly located and immaculately clean
We needed to stay a few nights in order to see friends in and around Ely but current restrictions meant we could not stay with any of them. Willow Cottage was an ideal cost effective solution for two of us (although there was accommodation for up to 4 people). It was immaculately clean throughout, with an ability to adjust the central heating and good quality bed linen and towels. We found milk waiting for us in the fridge, as well as teabags, instant coffee and key condiments all provided. The house instructions are comprehensive and the wifi worked.
It is a cottage, so the rooms are all quite small, but adequate, even for my over 6ft husband. The parking is a bit tricky, backing out onto a busy road, but with one of us out to check on traffic, we managed it. It is an easy walk to town.

A great cottage in a great city.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and friendly. We felt very relaxed there. The owners made us feel most welcome and everything we needed was on hand. It provided a good base for the nature reserves we visited such as Welney Wetlands, Lakenheath and Wicken Fen. We had a train trip to Cambridge for the Fitzwilliam and Botanic Gardens and also visited Anglesey Abbey. The cathedral is beautiful and the grounds majestic so lots of strolls around the city and along the river.

A pleasant stay in Ely
We really enjoyed our break away in this lovely well situated cottage in Ely. It was within easy walking distance of the cathedral, shops including Waitrose, and the river. Highly recommended for a couple or family of 4. Kitchen well equipped and a private rear garden with table and chairs and washing line. Highly recommend.

Lovely time in a lovely place.
Willow cottage is a very well appointed cottage ideally placed in the centre of the beautiful market town of Ely and within walking distance of all the places you will want to visit.

perfect in every way for our visit.
Such a cosy yet spacious two bedroom cottage. Spotlessly clean with one of the best showers we've ever had. Furnished tastfully to a high standard and well equiped. You can park safely on site right outside the front door. Two bedrooms with the useful options of two doubles or double and twin. Just let Alan know beforehand which you prefer. The beds are really comfortable and appear new. There is a good selection of popular DVD's and books. The cottage is located about two minutes walk from an excellent Waitrose and one minute more takes you into the centre of this beautiful little City. The Norman cathedral with its massive architecture is a wonder to behold and the tower tour was both fascinating and highly informative with great views over the city and fens. The Royal Standard is probably the best pub and almost next to it is Le Spice, Indian restuarant which is undoubtably one of the finest we've visited and these are legion. Nice unpushy staff, great atmosphere, excellent food, we had Lamb Dhansak, Chicken Ceylon, two vegetables both cooked to perfection, nan which was light as a feather, rice and Cobra beer. Everything was so beautifully cooked and the curry sauces were both quite different and both perfect. The price was far less than we expected to pay so also great value. The Samovar tea cafe opposite is a great place for tea and delicious cake as well as a great atmosphere. Places to visit; Wicken Fen, Anglesey Abbey, Cambridge by train which is cheap and easy from Ely. The 'Free Press Pub' in Cambridge is a jewel to be found in a side street. Great food, excellent beer, unique atmosphere and lovely staff. The market in Ely is small but diverse and offers a high quality choice of foods, antiques and crafts. Such a great place to visit and such a great cottage to stay in whilst there. So much to do. To quote the great Arnold. I'll be back'!

WILLOW COTTAGE ELY
We had a lovely stay in Willow Cottage, which is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Ely and the magnificent cathedral. The cottage provided every comfort; it was beautifully furnished and all of the facilities were of the highest quality. We booked through AirBNB and Alan, the host, could not have been more helpful and communicative.
We would recommend Willow Cottage without hesitation.
