This detached idyllic stone cottage provides accommodation for up to four adults and two children (six guests altogether) the cottage is tastefully decorated well equipped and very well looked after.
For your reassurance our standard of cleaning is already extremely high, however to minimise the risk of COVID-19 we are taking extra measures including infection control in cleaning training (accredited training course). If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to ask.

* A utility room with washing machine and dryer, Small fridge freezer and a
small space for the well behaved family pet.
(Please note there is a charge for pets).
Pets must not be left at the property unattended.
* Outside the cottage the property has private parking for one car (further
parking is available very close by)
* Sitting area for alfresco eating area for 6 guest with BBQ to enjoy the
sunshine.
* 3 adults bikes and 1 smaller bike (suitable for 8 yrs old up) available to use at
your own risk.
* Please note the rental agreement:If you wish to change the makeup of the
party during your stay or include a pet into the property you must have either
show it on your booking form or detailed in correspondence and agreed in
advanced.
Milldale is a beautiful place to visit. The dramatic 'white peak' landscape begins at the front door with fine views, walks, cycling and other leisure pursuits to enjoy. The renowned beauty spots of Dove Holes the “Stepping Stones” and Thorpe Cloud are approached over the aviator bridge with a lovely walk through Dovedale.
Fly Fishing day permits can be obtained from the near by Izaak Walton Hotel.
Nearer to home and following a bracing walk up the hill to Alstonefield you will find the highly rated Public House Restaurant 'The George'.
Bankside Cottage is situated within easy reach of Ilam, Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell.
The Tissington cycle trail runs within a mile of Milldale.
All prices include free wireless Broadband access, bed linen, towels, heating, electricity and complimentary bucket of coal and a basket of wood provided. As the cottage is in a rural village, the broadband access can occasionally go down. Please note minimum stay is 3 nights.

We love well-behaved dogs, dog owners please be aware there is a pet charge £15 to cover the cost as an extra deep clean and ensure the cottage is free from hairs in the case following guests have allergies. Remember to clean up in the garden area before you leave.

The Ashbourne / Alstonefield area<BR>Alstonefield has won the best village award many times in the past. It is a stunning village with a close knit community who are always friendly and willing to help. Alstonefield is actually built on a limestone plateau, which is 900 feet above sea level, making for lovely views. There is a popular old coaching inn just in front of the old wool market, and shops that used to thrive on the silk industry, making silk buttons!
