POOL STUDIO is just 1 of our 7 fully self catering Gites here at "Mas Saint Antoine", this 17thC renovated farmhouse & converted outbuildings that make up the 7 gites is set in 2/3rds of an acre amidst open fields & orchards. Being on the main road between Avignon and St-Remy we are ideally situated for exploring all the best that Provence has to offer with no greater drive than 60mins to see it all. Our grounds have been fully landscaped into various garden themes and include a 12 x 6m swimming pool, summer house, a pond with waterfall, 300 year old olive trees and several secluded seating areas dotted around the grounds. “Pool Studio” is a fully self-contained cottage. This small ideal cottage for the thrifty but social travellers is located within the fenced area of the 12x6m swimming pool, converted from the original 'Provencal outdoor kitchen', WC & changing room. With 3 rooms, the main room being the kitchen/living area with fully fitted kitchen, complete with sink, electric oven & gas hobs over, microwave, fridge with integrated freezer, toaster, coffee maker & plenty of cupboard space. In the corner is a small circular table with 2 comfy chairs for internal dining. The shelving holds a portable radio/CD player, a variety of CD's & books. A small free standing wardrobe & drawers is also within this room. The bedroom at the opposite end contains the metal framed double bed with mattress topper, 2 side tables & the IPOD docking station with radio and alarm clock. The entry door from the bedroom opens onto a small patio area with circular table & relaxing 'daybed' with cushions along with chiffon curtains for a bit of privacy. Between the kitchen & bedroom is the bathroom complete with WC, WHB & shower. The exposed beams and cathedral style ceiling gives the Pool Studio a feeling of space. The great feature about the Pool Studio is the double french doors that open from the kitchen directly onto the pool, 4 paces & you are in! just outside the French doors is a small circular marble table with 2 metal chairs with cushions. A double window in the kitchen opens directly onto a second outdoor dining area, your personal use in the evening when the other guests leave for their own gites, it has a large concrete tiled table & 4 chairs, under the kitchen window is your own gas BBQ. The large terrace area faces west so you can enjoy the Provencal sunsets. All linens and bathroom towels are supplied free of charge. Free access to separate pool towels is also available. Laundry facilities including free detergent, is shared with the other guests on a rotational basis. Swimming pool and large gardens shared with the other guests. At 500m from the village of Rognonas with all its services, you are an easy 10min walk from 4 bakeries, a supermarket, 2 traiteur, 1 boucherie, 2 bars and 2 restaurants and several Pizza takeaways. Rognonas also offers a Post Office, 2 banks with cash machines a Pharmacy & even an intimate Wine Tasting Experience. The thriving heart of Provence, Avignon is a 10-minute drive with simple access to several parking buildings. The Avignon TGV Train Station is approx 10mins away. As well as standard self-catered "Gite" accommodation, we offer a range of services to make Mas Saint-Antoine "more than just a Gite", ranging from local information services, day tripping suggestions to relaxing poolside Pizza evenings. There are 6 other gites on the property who share the same gardens & pool. The Pool Studio is within the pool fenced area ADULTS ONLY. Smoking is allowed outside on your own terrace or balcony. NO parties, gatherings, loud noises, music or loud talking outside after 11.00pm. Well behaved dogs are welcome, (daily fee applicable) MUST not bark, MUST be on a leash while on the property & MUST not be left alone inside the gites. There are free range chickens on the property.

Whilst a car is recommended seeing the sights can also be achieved by using public transport. Mas Saint Antoine is a 10min walk from the nearest bus stop on the "57" bus route between Avignon & Saint Remy de Provence. The bus terminates at the Gare Routiere just outside the walls of Avignon where you can connect to other bus routes and at the other end in the centre of Saint Remy de Provence, during the high season the route continues to Arles. The Avignon Gare Routiere is beside the Avignon Central Train Station where you can catch local trains, whilst a "navette" (shuttle bus) can be taken from the Gare Routiere to the Avignon TGV (high speed train) about 10mins away for journeys further afield. Taxis are limited & must be booked.
