WOW!!!! What a great time! From the time we booked Mr Charlie responded quickly and answered every question that we had. The unit was spotless, this was our 10th trip to Exuma and the best! Bay View is the total package, on the water with a beach and a boat for rent and boat dock. We would tell him what time in the morning and the boat would be at the dock, we just walked out and got on and enjoyed the day. When we finished, just tied back up at the end of the day. Mr Charlie would take out refuel and have it ready the next morning. We took the Boston Whaler with the 85hp out 5 days of our stay. We explored Moriah Harbor Cay National Park and Man O War Cay sandbars as well as The Cut and Lazy River. One of the days took it to Georgetown and over to Chat N Chill for fresh Conch Salad and a swim with the stingrays.
Back to the unit, Mr Charlie also has rental cars available making Bay View Villas the total package.
We are looking forward to next year!

Disappointing Accommodations
This was our 5th trip to Bay View Vacation Rentals, but we were disappointed in the property and the owner’s (Charlie) behavior. We had ants and other bugs in the kitchen for the entire 2 weeks. The internet was very slow and is shared with his other rental guests. No cable tv. The thermostat has a lock on it so you can’t change the temperature. The washing machine and dryer costs $4 dollars in quarters to use. There is no dishwasher. We were told we could rent his car, but nobody was there when we arrived. Charlie would not answer his phone and did not show up for hours after our arrival. We had to pay for another taxi to get my children some groceries before the store closed. We wished we had kept our Thompson Rental car. Charlie continued to give us a hard time during our stay. We hit a pothole and dented the rim. Charlie was very mad and called us reckless and “fast and furious”. I was only driving about 15 mph. I had to help fix it, get yelled at repeatedly, and had to pay for a new tire except he put the same tire on the back of the car instead of replacing it. We rented Charlie’s boat and the engine was randomly turning off and slow to restart. I told him about the issue and he said I worry too much along with other rude and unnecessary comments. He later said his mechanic replaced some parts, but it wasn’t a big deal because there was a paddle in the boat. He said to call in an emergency, but he didn’t answer his phone or return any of my calls during the entire trip. We requested to pay our bill for the car rental the day before we left but he never showed up or let us know what time he was going to take us to the airport. We arranged for a taxi and he was furious since he wanted to charge us for the trip. I don’t like being yelled at on vacation. The accommodations and interactions were a disappointment.

Paradise
Charlie’s Bay View Villa is an absolutely paradise! The house is in a perfect location and it is very well kept. The patio off the ocean has an amazing view and was one of our favorite parts. My kids snorkeled and swam from there and they saw many different sea life such as an Atlantic Spotted Eagle Ray (which was just incredible to see), a Barracuda, a Shark, multiple Sea Turtles, and a Sting Ray. We took the kayaks across the water to go see the uninhabited island and Man O War sandbar. Charlie and his wife are truly the kindest people and most wonderful hosts! They made sure we had everything we needed to have a perfect stay! And I can’t forget Chloe their dog. She was just the sweetest, my kids said she was one of their favorite parts of the trip lol. When we go back to Exuma we will definitely be staying at Charlie’s place.

Everything was fantastic
Just as all the other reviews have said. This place is incredible. Spotless clean inside and out and an amazingly gracious host. Rental car recommended. Visit Charles’ garden if you can. Kayak over to Man O War key and visit the amazing beach on the other side. Peaceful place to completely chill out. Highly recommended.

What a nice place, we were a family of 5 in this apartment duplex house and it was perfect.
The spot ,the spot , the spot....is amazing .
Charlie (the owner) is a really nice man ...
We hope to be back one day (as soon as)

Bay View Villas - Excellent Vacation Spot
Bay View Villas is the perfect choice for a little slice of paradise in Exuma! This was our second time choosing Bay View Villas for our trip to Exuma. The villa was immaculate and had a fully equipped kitchen. The views from the back of the villa were breathtaking and peaceful! The host of the villas, Charlie, is beyond expectations with hospitality! He took care of all of our needs and even provided us with fresh fruits and vegetables from his garden! We rented his boat for several days and used it to tour the cays and see all the small isolated beaches near the villa, as well as the sand bars that appear at low tide (which you can also kayak to the sand bars just behind the villa with the kayaks provided). We were just a boat ride away from Stocking Island and could visit Chat N Chill and Peace and Plenty Beach Club, which were highlights of the vacation. Just two minutes up the road was a restaurant called Blu on the Water, which is an excellent choice for dinner! The villa was also within reasonable driving distance to several public beaches for days we toured the island by car, not far from Georgetown for all shopping needs, and only 35-40 minutes from the airport. We will definitely choose to stay here again if we get the opportunity to return!
Thanks again for everything Charlie! We already miss everything about Exuma now that we have returned home! Until the next time….Chae & Jennifer.

Our Happy Place
Another amazing stay at Bay View villa. This is our 4th stay and never tire of it. The reviews do not lie, this place is clean clean clean! The house is well equipped with everything you need. We just absolutely love this place. The location is perfect as it is across from Man O’War Cay and sand bars appear during low tide. It's less than a 3 minute kayak ride to the sand bar.
The gazebo by the water is perfect. You can lay out in the sun on the loungers, or pull them in the shade under the gazebo. You can swing in the hammock and while the hours away. We saw turtles pass by daily, which was a highlight.
Charlie is the consummate host. We can hardly wait for our next stay!

Exceeded Expectations!
We stayed in Bay View Villa #2. It’s a duplex. Our neighbors were a couple with a 5 year old and it was no problem sharing the dock and grounds with them. The property is stunning, Charlie lives in a house next door and is a gracious and friendly host. My favorite spot was the hammock! Highly recommend hanging out on the dock at night to do some stargazing. The water and sandbars are out of this world. We loved using the kayaks to explore Manowar Cay. There are several kayaks to choose from. At low-tide you can also walk over. The bungalow was clean, well-maintained, and had everything to meet our needs. But it’s the location, the water, the sandbars, and the hospitality that make this exceptional!
Note - the kayaking is very doable but be mindful of tides, current, and wind that can make it more challenging. Ditto for snorkeling— the best snorkeling was at the nearby mangroves. Recommend getting a decent supply of groceries in town and planning - at a minimum - to have breakfasts on the patio. There is a local place nearby where you can pick up dinner for carry out called Big Noch’s.

Slice of paradise
Just wow! We knew from the reviews Charlie’s place would be special but we were still very impressed. The Bayview Villas are comfy, clean, and dialed for adventure. Charlie is a great host and lives on site. The place is the perfect distance from Georgetown and from the beaches and restaurants in the south. The view and setting in front of Man O War Cay is divine.
We made good use of the kayaks and our fishing guide, Reno Rolle, picked us up right from the beach at the property. Couldn’t recommend this place more. The duplex set up is also great if you have two families but having neighbors to chat with was fun too. Added bonus, Blu On the Water, our favorite restaurant on the island, is just up the street!

Excellent location
We stayed the beginning of January for two weeks. We where a party of 8. Disappointed the cars or the boats weren’t available to hire due to Covid, apart from that fantastic holiday. Charles was welcoming and very helpful. Houses were immaculately clean and equipped. Location out of this world. We used the 5 Kayaks every day to go to the cays opposite the accommodation. We had our own small beach.😁 We saw turtles, rays, dolphins and Lemon sharks. It seemed we where in our own little word. Looking forward to going back in the near future.

Douglas the taxi driver ( who lives behind Charles) you have to use him. On time and reasonable rates all the time.
All in all a fantastic holiday.
