Ken was a gracious host, with helpful tips and always ready to answer any questions. The place is really a find: a great, clean appartment with everything you need to eat and chill at home, a swimming pool on the premises and the sea nearby. There are also some nice restaurants and beach bars around in Lapta, and some great things to see and do in Kyrenia (mountain hiking, boat trips, snorkeling, swimming, paragliding et al) but I suggest you hire a car or a scooter (as I did) - it makes it so much easier to move around. The Northern, Turkish side of Cyprus is a hidden gem - not too many tourists around but you can still find a crowd if you like.

We would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting peaceful surroundings gardens and large pool .easy walk along coastal path to good restaurants with sea views. We have just spent 22 days at apartment and found it clean and comfortable ,fully equipped kitchen 3 aircon units that work and shower with plenty of hot water. the balcony over looks garden and pool. a cool breeze from sea in afternoons roof terrace with good views of blue sea and mountains. sun loungers, chairs and table parasols and bbq . ten minute walk to new supermarket on main road and to catch dolmus bus into Girne (kyrenia). the owner very helpful through booking progress until departure. we will be coming again to this apartment

Instruction to Apt bad,local could not find need local taxi plus 20min. I have photo of streets turn.I went to do research!WiFi/Internet Apt on/of poor. could not load photos etc. Lighting inapt so poor you can't read. The stairway to apt to lights at night.bulb burnt out.Lots of little things, no can opener,written instruction on appliances etc.We live in ME under stand elect etc. The Elec Panel water heater switch turn on, turn on lower switch:5-15min off. after few day would not go on.Ken said sent soper 5-6 time. We heard the neighbor knock! Saw Igor'At down stair. Nice right sized furniture Not like aboard ship.

We have just come back from a beautiful stay at stena apartments, the location is stunning if you want a place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, which we did. I would recommend your own transport but there are buses up and down the main road every few minutes. The stay was lovely a few teething problems but ken (owner) was on hand within seconds on ringing him ready to sort out any problems which was fabulous. The apartment has everything you need and having the swimming pool there was great in the heat. In all, our holiday was just great! Thank you ken.

First many thanks to ken who was online with us since we started asking about the flat until we left and came back home.. The pla9is so perfect located in a quiet area far around 10 to 15 minutes from kyrenia.. The place it self was so clean and good furnitured everything you need is just were it should be.. The mountain view was awesome..the swimming pool and sea view is also fantastic.. I really do recommend and for me definitely ill go back withba linger stay. Cheers and happy holidays

Although we have stayed in North Cyprus many times, this was our first time in the Lapta area. We were looking for somewhere with a sea-view and close to the Coastal Walkway so this apartment seemed to fit the bill. The apartment is in a good position right next to the sea overlooking the enormous swimming pool. It is well equipped and very comfortable. Unfortunately we had to spend most of our first day sorting out several problems. The only key provided was to the apartment itself; we couldn't access the roof terrace (which was locked) and the permanent residents downstairs locked the front door on an evening which we did not have a key for, and had to locate a back entrance to get back into the apartment. Anyone arriving on their first day after this door had been locked wouldn't know how to access the apartment! (we never received a key to this door during the whole of our stay). Water was an ongoing problem. First we couldn't get any hot water and then the water stopped altogether. The solution by the maintenance people was to fill the water tank with a garden hose every couple of days! On arrival, there was no WiFi and we had to wait in the apartment for a new system to be installed. An inconvenience we could have done without. We finally got a key to the roof terrace with fantastic views to the sea and mountains. However, the whole area was a mess being untidy and dirty. Of the three terrace lights one was completely missing. one was hanging off the wall and the third didn't work at all. Of the three sunbeds two were cracked and there were no sunbed cushions provided, so uncomfortable to lie on. We pointed out these problems to the maintenance people and they did send a cleaner to tidy up but nothing else was addressed. The TV never worked and the maintenance guys didn't seem interested in assisting with this. The communal area needed attention. The ceiling lights for the stairwell were all hanging down by their wires and never worked on a night so, a torch was needed to climb the stairs back to the apartment. All the apartments in the complex were apparently privately owned however, the majority now seem to have been bought by Russians and it felt like you were in a Russian enclave. The apartment below had a rather untidy Russian family living there permanently with shoes, clothes and toys spilling out into the entrance of the apartment block, not a welcoming sight on arrival. No welcome pack is provided, not even a bottle of water so anyone arriving after the supermarkets have closed - tough luck. If arriving by taxi, with no hire car then the nearest supermarket is a good 20 minutes walk away, so be warned! We did enjoy our stay; the apartment itself is in very good condition and it was very clean and well looked after. The pool is massive however, there are no sunbeds to laze on after a swim which is a bit inconvenient. The 3km Coastal Walkway is directly in front of the apartment and we walked along this every morning to Ziggy's Coastal Cafe for breakfast. You really do need a car as the nearest bar - the Olive Press Bowling Club is a 10 minutes walk away and JK's Bar a further 10 minutes as is the nearest mini-market. The restaurants along the Lapta 'strip' would probably take at least 25 minutes to walk, maybe more although they are in the process of extending the Coastal Walkway right up to the 'strip'. We were only here for a week before moving on to Karaman and then Bellapaise. It was just about long enough so that we could be close to several excellent restaurants (by car) such as Silver Rocks and Calamari. If you want a well appointed apartment with spectacular sea and mountain views and a large swimming pool, reasonably close to a good choice of bars and restaurants (by car), then this is a good choice.

The apartment is just great - you can find in it everything you might need, starting from kitchen tools and finishing with a hair dryer. The staff is very helpful; when any small problem arouse - just one phone call to Irina, the Manager, and the problem was solved. There is also a beautiful roof terrace to have morning coffee, enjoy the fantastic view and the sun, of course. We had a lovely time and thank you!
