Mandorleto is a beautiful, spacious (150m2) trullo flanked by traditional lamias and panoramic views of ancient olive groves and medieval towns perched on the hills of Valle d’Itria. The gazebo has a stone table that comfortably seats 8 that overlooks the pool and courtyard in front of the trullo making it an ideal location for both day and night entertainment.
Mandorleto was fully renovated in 2012 using traditional materials to create an authentic trullo experience with modern comforts! Small archways, hidden alcoves and domed ceilings give a mystical ambience that only a trullo can generate. All floors are made from ‘Trani’ marble, a honey-colored stone from local quarries. Windows have mosquito netting, traditional outer grills and shutters that can be left open at night to let in air. Walls up to 2m thick ensure that temperatures inside stay pleasantly cool during hot summer months.
With 3 double-bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, Mandorleto can comfortably sleep 6. A baby cot and high-chair can be provided upon request. The living room with 2 sofas, lounger and fire place is located in the main trullo. Bathrooms have walk-in showers, a bidet, toilet and wash basin. Linen and towels are provided and renewed weekly during your stay. The spacious kitchen is bright and fully equipped for gourmet cooking. There is a dining table that comfortably seats 6 and double-doors that lead to a terrace with large stone table for outdoor dining and entertainment. The BBQ area is next to the terrace, a laundry room with washer & dryer is behind the kitchen and there is free Wi-Fi and secure parking for your use.
The location is ideal for day trips to the seaside and visits to neighboring towns like Ostuni “the white city”, Alberobello the UNESCO town with over 1000 trulli and elegant Martina Franca, all within a 15-30 minute drive away. Though somewhat farther afield, the cultural town of Lecce, the ancient sea port of Gallipoli and the spectacular southern coastline with its crystal clear, turquoise colored waters of the Adriatic and Ionian seas are also within easy reach.

Een sprookjeshuis in een prachtige omgeving. En in juni staat in de mooie tuin alles te bloeien dat het een lust is. Zelfs de kolibrievlinder gespot. De trullo is tip top verzorgd en ingericht en er is een gloednieuw zwembad aangelegd met een magnifiek uitzicht op de vallei. Bij binnenkomst wacht je een rijkelijk welkomstpakket en een nauwgezette uitleg van wat er in en om huis te doen is. Naast de serene rust is er voldoende vertier in de omgeving en aan het strand met restaurantjes in overvloed. Robert en Ina, bedankt voor de gastvrijheid, wij hebben ons echt eregasten gevoeld. En dit willen we beslist nog vaker meemaken

We komen beslist terug!
Een vakantie in een trullo: wat een aanrader! We hebben in augustus 2015 een week hier doorgebracht. Het huis was een perfecte uitvalbasis voor diverse uitstapjes, naar ongekend mooie plaatsen die nog niet overrompeld zijn door toerisme, waaronder Ceglie. Maar het huis zelf is een aparte belevenis! Koel binnen, 's ochtends buiten op het terras ontbijten, 's avonds op het dak borrelen en af en toe in de tuin BBQ-en, echt top! Je kunt ook prima in de omgeving wandelen en joggen. En je zit in een andere wereld, waar je super kunt afschakelen. Dank voor een mooi verblijf! Eric + gezin, Hilversum

Bellissima esperienza
Ottima posizione a pochi minuti dal centro di Ceglie Messapica, incantevole
paese con numerosi ristoranti dall'ottima cucina pugliese, a pochi minuti di auto
Alberobello, Cisternino ed Ostuni con le sue bellissime spiagge. Il Trullo è molto
confortevole, completamente ristrutturato da un paio di anni, dispone di tutto il necessario
per un piacevole soggiorno nella Valle d'Ittrio. Sicuramente un esperienza da ripetere.

Excellent holiday experience
We had the pleasure of visiting this trulo for a second time in August 2015 with friends. We first visited in July/August 2014 and were extremely impressed by the exceptional ambience this traditional trulo offers. It is a holiday with a difference if you are looking for privacy and seclusion. Having recently been refurbished and offering every modern amenity, it has managed to retain every aspect of its original charm and character with arched doorways and hollow cones enhancing the original character of the house. The various outdoor seating areas allow for very different perspectives and views to the valleys and neighbouring towns. Set in private grounds with ancient olive tress all around, one is lost in a different world. The evening sunsets are spectacular in the height of summer accompanied by a chorus of crickets and silhouetted by ancient olive trees. The location of the property also lends itself to explore the area and the surrounding towns of Ceglia Mesapica only 10 minutes drive providing a host of shops, cafes and restaurants, Ostuni, Martina Franca and Alberobello with its array of traditional trulos are all close by and worth a visit.
The property has also got the benefit of a swimming pool and gazebo area to further enhance the holiday experience. This is an ideal holiday for the discerning traveller looking for tranquillity and privacy but with an abundance of interesting towns and country to explore. We will definitely be returning as the earliest opportunity.
