Beautiful house, very nice people, we felt very welcome. The view and the atmosphere is extraordinary. We had breakfast next to the cherry orchard, with the smell of sage in de garden, in the morning sun, with sea views. If you are looking for something special, come to Betulle.

Villa Betulle is the perfect place to stay in Sicily! It is remote enough to make it quiet and secluded but at the same time it is close to the best places to visit in East Sicily: Taormina, the sea side, Mount Etna. It is immersed in the beautiful Sicilian landscape, among olive and cherry trees and with the company of the rumbling volcano (if you are lucky as we were). Andrea and its family are the most welcoming hosts and they make you feel at home while providing you for free with many comforts, such as local wines and fruit and fresh eggs from their own chickens! There are only small villages around but you can find all you need, including cheap wines and food and a lovely typical pizzeria with wood oven. Don't forget to visit the close Gambino winery (10 minutes by car) for the perfect tasting of Sicilian wines, food and hospitality!

We spent the first week of July in Villa Betulle. The region of Catania, although beautiful, can be a bit crowded and it can be difficult to find a quiet and comfortable place to enjoy the beauty of the region. It is hard to imagine a place in a better location, more comfortable, and more peaceful than Villa Betulle. It is a balcony at 800 mts above the sea level, just at the foot of Etna. It is ideally placed to explore Etna and the Etna County, the seaside, Catania, Taormina and many other beautiful places. The house is surrounded by cherry trees (we sampled a few kilos ourselves!), olive trees, and it overlooks a lovely terraced garden. There are chickens that lay fresh eggs for your breakfast if you wish to make the short walk to the pen. The swimming pool has a magnificent view over the coast north of Riposto. But above all, you will enjoy the company of Horatzio, Andrea and Loredana, they are the best example of the typical Sicilian hospitality: friendly and generous. Just one detail to take into account: you will need a car to get there and to move around as the steep slope of the Etna will make long walks difficult. The villages around the place are worth visiting and the food is unforgettable. An excursion up to the volcano is a must, but the house is so well located that you can reach Piano Provenzano in a few minutes drive. Thanks Horatzio and family! We will be coming back…

We stayed in this wonderful house in beginning of October. We were received very kindly and the kitchen was even stocked with fresh fruit, wine and water! The place is lovely, outside lots of green with a wonderful terrace and a great separate pool area. Inside the house is cosy and has all the comforts you may need. It's location is idyllic and quite secluded which means lots of privacy if you want it, but there is a nice pizza place and shop in the village nearby. We'd recommend this anyone looking for a quiet, beautiful place to stay where you'll be received with great hospitality!
