Recensisco solo ora la mia vacanza a Corfù. Più che “clienti” siamo stati veri e propri ospiti. Aldilà della casa (spaziosa, accogliente, comoda e via dicendo) quello che mi ha colpita di più è stato l’affetto con cui ci hanno ospitato Thanos e Fotini. Due persone magnifiche! Ci hanno fatto innamorare dell’atmosfera di Corfù e di ogni suo piccolo dettaglio. L’anno dopo sono tornata in vacanza a Corfù nella parte nord ma nonostante ciò non ho esitato a prendermi un giorno per andare a trovare Thanos e Fotini al sud, che mi hanno accolta a braccia aperte. Vi voglio bene!

Fell in love with this place from the moment I saw it ! We loved the space and facilities - the pool across the way is great too , and the walks to the beach and the beach itself were very enjoyable with everything we needed. Thanks to Thanos and his wife and daughter we really felt at home here . My only regret is that we didn't stay longer !

Even before we confirmed our booking we found Thanos to be very helpful and generous, arranging for some basic provisions to be in the villa when we arrived to collecting us from the Airport. A lovely couple, both Thanos and Fay were friendly, approachable and were very keen to ensure our comfort. They took us to the local large Supermarket - which you really do need to do - as the local ones are very small indeed and only really ideal for top-ups. The Villa was cleaned, including a change of sheets, at least 3 times during our 2 week stage. Family members came to water and tend the garden. They also gave ideas of trips to do and recommended a local taxi service, which we used a couple of times. The Villa itself was very spacious and clean and the garden was the part that clinched the deal. With a 5 year old, what was on offer was ideal for the days we decided not to venture far, were perfect; table tennis, basket ball, football, children's corner with slide, covered area with table and chairs, darts and, 30 seconds across the road, a lovely pool with water slide and pool-side bar/restaurant. The beach is around 10 minutes' walk and the actual village is more like 20 minutes or a little more if walking with a little one. The bus stop is on the other side of the village and waiting for buses is a bit of a lottery! Corfu Town is around 1 hour by bus. We visited a couple of local villages by taxi - don't expect dirt cheap prices; a 15 minute drive cost us 25 euros! Near to the Villa are plenty of bars/restaurants but, this is definitely not a noisy place. We certainly saw the essence of Greece with a lot of self-sufficiency and local people running their businesses. We had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend this Villa to families.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Villa Thanos. It is a superb 3 bedroomed villa close to the Marathias beach. The villa has a well equipped kitchen and a wonderful garden and areas to sit both in the sun and shade. It is close to a taverna with a swimming pool. Fay and Thanos were very kind and attentive hosts and kept the house with great care. They were so easy to deal with and sorted out any problems. The Marathias beach is superb. Overall our family was overwhelmed by the generosity of our hosts and the local people we met during our visit.

We rented the villa for our family summer holiday in Corfu. Thanos was very helpful and organised and ensured someone was there to meet us when we arrived and made us feel welcomed. The villa itself is a detached house with three bedrooms, a master bathroom, additional small bathroom and a big open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. The villa is set in a big mature garden with hammocks, deck chairs and a number of games and toys for younger children. The kitchen was fairly well equipped and included a large fridge/freezer to keep your supplies in. We were staying at the end of July/early August and it did get pretty hot the second week so we were really glad of the air-conditioning unit in the house for those hot evenings. There is a pool/bar/restaurant just across from the house and while not associated with the villa the pool was free to use provided you purchased a drink (only a couple of Euros each). The pool has a small water slide which our children enjoyed playing on as well us using their rubber rings in the pool. The beach was around 5-10 minutes walk down the road and also has parking close by if you wanted to drive. The beach itself had quite a number of different bars and restaurants which also rent out sun-beds and there is also a section where you can just bring your own parasole instead. The beach is sandy and gently sloping and the water was really warm which made it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. There is a small mini-market near the beach selling basics such as milk, bread, eggs and meat but we ended up shopping at the larger supermarket which is around 15 minutes drive towards Cavos. There are two restaurants right near the villa, one at the pool and one next to the church. There are plenty more to choose from on the beach. We ended up eating at the restaurant near the church a lot of nights as the owners were very friendly and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The main downside of the holiday was that most of the tourist attractions involved driving for 30 minutes to an hour (e.g. Corfu town, the Water Park etc). If you are just looking for a beach/pool holiday then you don't need a car but for other attractions it would certainly be advisable. Overall it was a fantastic place to stay with very helpful and friendly owners.

We had a lovely time at villa Thanos. Thanos even offered us to arrange the transfer from the airport. On the drive to the villa he explained us where we could find the basic shop, restaurants and stuff. He also offered us to stop somewhere to be able to shop for the essential groceries, which was not necessary for us (we like to settle down a.s.a.p. for the kids) but the offer was very much appreciated by us. This last thing was especially true because of the filed refrigerator with nice cool drinks. When arriving at the villa we found a ‘normal’ (residential) home with nice large rooms and ample storage space. The kitchen is suitably equipped with dishes, pots and pans. There is a nice large closed off garden with plenty of toys and games. When Thanos noticed the age of or twins he arranged to place a special swing for them! The owners Thanos and Fay come regularly to the villa to attend the garden, clean the house and change the bed sheets and towels. But we never felt this was intrusive because we were well in advance informed of these visits. And they were also always available for calamities’ or just for some advice and tips. Thanos and Fay really let you experience the Greek hospitality; they genially make you feel welcome to their home and the island of Corfu. You can find fine food at the tavern on the other side of the access road. And when you order some drinks you can use the nice pool, waterslide and playground for free. The beach is about a 10/15 minute walk, but the route is slightly sloped. You can’t find much of a nightlife in the village or the surrounding area, but that’s just ideal for us. If you want to do more than just go to the pool, beach and near taverns, than you should definitely rent a car. Which you can park (two of them) in the shade on the property itself. This is especially necessary because all the big supermarkets can be found on the way to Lemkimmi. In short we do sincerely recommend this villa, and in the future Thanos and Fay can expect a return visit from us to the villa. Plus: • Screens and shutters for the windows • Plenty of seating area’s to be able to sit in the sun or shade • Well equipped to be able to cook (or BBQ) at the villa yourself Minus: I could not give the ‘cleanliness’ a full score, but let me explain why. These conditions are to be expected in every country in the south of Europe. Because of the climate and dusty environment of Greece you will find some soot on the floors. Also the drainage isn’t the same as the ones we find in the north of Europe, which sometimes results in some odours (not bad in any way). So that’s why I couldn’t give the maximum score.

We spent our holiday in Greece at villa Thanos.Thevhouse has everything you need. inside and out.Big bedrooms. spacious living room. 2 toilets.very big garden. It's a perfect house for families with children.A car it's a must because although the beach is close .We walk every day on the way to the beach but you need a car for when you go shopping to the supermarket. Very quiet place around the villa.The beach is wide and clean.The owners of the villa are very nice people. they help you with everything you need. All you need to buy is food and going to the beach. I definitely recommend staying at Thanos villa.We had a great holiday. I wish I could spend all summer in Greece. 😊😉

super vacances dans la villa thanos qui et bien situé près de la belle plage de sable fin a marathias nous avons été très bien accueilli par thanos sa femme et ses enfants la maison était très propre avec un grand jardin et plusieurs terrasses pour manger le midi et le soir .nous avons appréciè la piscine et les restaurants a proximités .les sorties corfou ,paxos bue lagoon ,sidari et aqualand seront de super souvenirs merci encore pour l 'accueil

Very good location - near sandy beach and old olive trees! Hospitality of the owners and interesting games makes the villa attaractive for relax.

Un estate indimenticabile,una casa fantastica completa di tutti i comfort, piscina, tavolo da ping pong, campetto di calcio canestro giusto per svagarti un po. I proprietari sono delle persone fantastiche premurosi e amorevoli sempre a disposizione, tornerei li almeno una volta all anno! Stuenda!
