Wonderful
We had a wonderful time for 6 nights at Mango Splash. Tony and Jan are very welcoming. We enjoyed experiencing the 'real St Lucia'. Everyone in Laborie is so friendly. We spent time in the north of the island on our trip, but preferred this area and the people there.
We would definitely recommend and want to visit again.
There were 12 rescue dogs there, all without exception are brilliantly behaved, calm dogs.

St Lucia with soul. Fabulous low-key holiday in Laborie in the south of St Lucia.
We stayed in this wonderful place for just over two weeks, 17 nights in all, and how lucky we were to choose such a superb place in the gloriously quiet village of Laborie. The beach and the sea are super. Warm Caribbean sea, you can't beat it.
Firstly Tony and Jan are the most wonderful hosts, very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. Everyone you speak to knows Tony and they all speak well of him. It seems like he is the 'Mayor' of Laborie!
Mango Splash is the most lovely place - we couldn't have wished for anywhere better.
The first evening we were there we were invited to join other guests and friends of Tony and Jan's to a Lobster Supper in their dining kitchen which is near the sweet little gingerbread house that is Driftwood. Freshly caught sweet juicy lobster with a fabulous array of side dishes. The chef and fisherman Linker (Lincoln originally I think) catches the lobster and fish and cooks it in the dining kitchen. As well as Mango Splash and Driftwood they also have a Treehouse to let.
Mango Splash has all the facilities anyone needs for a relaxing holiday. The bed is very comfortable.
They have 9 or 10 dogs and they are all absolutely gorgeous. I think my favourite is Coal as he followed us to the beach fairly often, as if he was our guardian. By the way, you feel completely safe in and around Laborie. Our own dog died a few years ago but we won't get another one as we go away fairly often, so this was just what the doctor ordered!
Everyone in the village is so friendly and they are proud to show off the little fishing village of Laborie. We ate twice at Mama Tilly's. Fabulous home-cooked food. She's great! We had a drink at Mama Rose's but didn't eat there. We heard that it was very good though. A few rums were consumed at Sharon's house. Sharon is extremely friendly and welcoming. You can't miss her house as you walk along the main drag into the village, it's orange and green with multi-striped bright Caribbean curtain swathes at the doors and windows. Food and drink in the villages here is much less expensive than it is up at Marigot Bay and further up north. It's proper St Lucia with a soul, unlike the touristy areas further north.
The two supermarkets in Laborie are fine for basics, but Tony and Jan kindly took us shopping at Vieux Fort and also Choiseul. The Massey supermarkets have absolutely everything one needs. You even have Waitrose products! The apricot jam was lovely.
We enjoyed walking along the beach into the village (instead of the main drag) to see the locals going about their daily work, mending nets, making lobster pots, cleaning fish, etc.
The sunsets are magical!
We would have no hesitation in recommending Tony's accommodation and hopefully, one day, we can come again. Relaxation, peace and quiet is what they do well here!

Magnificent
2nd stay for us. 4 and a half weeks of glorious weather and accommodation. We were treated more like friends than guests. Tony and Jan will give you all the help needed to make your holiday a very special occasion. Laborie and the locals are both enjoyable, friendly and safe. Mama Tilley's is a must and the boat trip is awesome. The beach is but yards away. Don't take my word for it, JUST make a booking and GO. You won't regret it.

Just superb, don't hestate to book
Stayed almost a month. Wonderful location, right on the sandy beach. No pebbles. A real laid back holiday. Swimming just great. Village minutes walk away with good beach-type bars/cafes. Great food and drinks. Mama Tiiley's, Mama Rose's our favorites. Local people really are so friendly. We also enjoyed their canine company, especially Sqeaky. Tony and Jan are excellent hosts and assist in everyway to make your stay a memorable one.

Wonderful stay at an authentic St Lucian village
We had a lovely stay at the Mango Splash in August. Tony and Jan are friendly and hospitable hosts. When we arrived at the Mango Splash, their lovely dogs welcomed us and the beach was just a few meters from the apartment! We felt at home instantly. They gave us a great list of things to do and places to visit/eat. Tony guided us to take a river walk to the ruins of a sugar plant which was very good fun. The snorkelling excursion by a Catamaran ship around the Piton was spectacular. I highly recommend visiting Laborie, the authentic fishing village, to experience the relaxing Caribbean holiday. Tony and Jan will make sure your stay a very memorable one.

Beach front living - perfect!
Lovely apartment, beautifully decorated with everything you could possibly need. You walk out of the garden straight onto the beach, couldn't be closer!
Tony & Jan were the perfect hosts, attentive and they certainly made us feel very welcome, with nothing too much trouble for them. On our first night they invited us to eat with them and friends and also drove us to the local supermarket too, which was very much appreciated.
They have a number of rescue dogs, all of which are friendly and no trouble - we enjoyed their company, but you would need to like dogs if staying at Mango Splash.
Laborie is a beautiful, friendly village, plenty of places to eat and drink and very much a St Lucian experience, which was exactly what we wanted. From Mango Splash it's just a short stroll along the beach to the village centre, what could be better than walking along a sandy beach in the evening to enjoy a great night out with the locals!

Hummingbird heaven
Fantastic holiday and very relaxing in this special place. Tony and Jan have thought of everything and Laborie is a lovely fishing village. If you want an authentic Caribbean destination this is great. Great local reef for snorkelling. Mango Splash is a great choice and very safe for single travellers as well as couples. Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your piece of Paradise!

Awesome Experience
We had an awesome stay at Mango Splash. Tony & Jan are great. Loved the apartment, grounds, dogs, beach and the little villiage of Laborie and all of it's people. Would recommend highly!

Great place to stay
It's the little things that count - as guests at numerous self-catering places in a great many places over many years, you just know when you find a place that stands out, and Mango Splash does. Great hosts and a fabulous place to stay, with lots of little special touches that make the place stand out.
And don't forget Laborie, which is unspoiled Caribbean but with very proud and welcoming residents, and some good places to eat and drink. Go there before the crowds arrive.

Can't recommend Mango Splash enough
Tony and Jan were excellent hosts, looked after every detail and provided a memorable time for us in St Lucia.
The accommodation is thoroughly looked after and the location is a very honest fishermen's village where it feels great to wander around and is totally enriching to meet the locals.
Tony and Jan will give you a wealth of travel tips, all of them worth checking out. They even assisted us when we had some unexpected circumstances and made us feel like family.
Can't recommend enough!
