We have very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Gioia and thank you, and in particular Luisa, for all the help that you and your people at the Villa have extended to us. The Villa has proven to be a great place for our group of 14, not only enough rooms, beds and bathrooms for our somewhat demanding crowd, nicely situated to permit us to place kids or families, respectively, together without disrupting the intended togetherness, but also with considerable general space inside and outside for meals and common activities. Located in the triangle of Bari, Trani and Castel del Monte, close enough to the beach and the airport without being disturbed by one or the other, the Villa was an excellent starting point for common pursuits, but also permitted to pursue individual interests, for instance for my wife and myself who have more of an interest in the culture than in the beach. We had visited the area half a lifetime before and knew about the major sights, but were very impressed again by the beauty and the sheer number of the offerings, in particular the churches in larger and smaller places dating back to a time before the more northern domes in France and my country were erected. We were also very impressed by the degree and quality of the restoration efforts, the walls of Castel del Monte were obviously the same that we saw during our first visit, but what a difference in appearance inside and out. A particular thank you goes to you. Luisa, for your patience and help when we had special dinner or other requests; the vacation would not have been as much fun without your advice and assistance, including the very practical assistance to get the reservations in the right places. Inge and I enjoyed most our dinner at Antichi Sapori in Montegrosso, with its very tasty oil, and the only disappointment was to find out after our return that they distribute their oil in Italy, but do not send it abroad. So altogether a very positive experience and a great thank you from all of us.

Siamo stati una settimana presso la Villa Gioia. Casa storica situata nell’entroterra delle Murge . Belli gli spazi esterni con una piscina in sasso … Gli spazi interni ampi ma richiedono qualche piccolo intervento di ristrutturazione . Custodi molto disponibili accoglienti e amabili … Nel complesso esperienza super positiva

Una magnifica villa con spazi spaziosi sia all'interno che all'esterno. La piscina può ospitare molte persone. Per riposare e godersi la regione, posto perfetto. Servizi di qualità, dai teli mare al servizio pizza fatto in casa in loco. Grazie al portiere Vito e a sua moglie per la loro discrezione e disponibilità. Vito è un buon pizzaiolo con nutella panzerotti per bambini. Una vacanza indimenticabile per un gruppo di 24 persone con 10 bambini. Siamo felici. Ottima comunicazione prima e durante il soggiorno con proprietari reattivi e attenti. Lo consigliamo vivamente.

Villa Gioia è una tenuta incredibile! Ho appena tenuto un ritiro di yoga qui con gente proveniente da tutto il mondo e ci siamo trovati tutti molto molto bene! La Villa è un'abitazione storica enorme e con un gran fascino! Stanze bellissime con il loro tocco autentico, cucina grande e con tutto il necessario. La sala dove abbiamo fatto yoga ogni giorno è la sala con le arcate che si è prestata benissimo! Lo spazio esterno è fenomenale con una piscina ben tenuta! La proprietaria Luisa è stata molto disponibile e mi ha aiutato anche per cose al di fuori dell'affitto! Raccomando con calore Villa Gioia!

The surroundings offer a wonderful choice of places to visit: from Matera to Alberobello, Trani, Polignano, Monopoli, wonderful beaches and probably the best food in Italy. Vinery Torrevento. We were warmly greeted by our hosts that manage this amazing property, shown around with many details of places to visit and nearby shops etc. Then we were left to enjoy ourselves. Anything we needed they were on hand to help. All 18 of us had plenty of space. The big kitchen with high ceilings was a highlight as well as the many terraces. Perfect place for a big group to celebrate in style. Thank you!

This Villa is more than impressive - it’s simply amazing. You can feel the spirit of the ancient family having lived there. It is still equipped with high value furniture and precious decoration. The comfort and coziness will contribute to your relaxing vacation. We were a group of six friends and we loved the spacious rooms, the gorgeous terraces, the various fruit trees, the nature and quietness and the generous atmosphere. We’d love to come back.

Ho soggiornato più volte a Villa Gioia con un gruppo di amici. I giorni trascorsi lì sono stati un vero e proprio viaggio a ritroso nel tempo in cui puoi assaporare le tradizioni del passato. Deliziose le camere, incantevoli il tinello e la cucina. Un sogno ad occhi aperti é la carrozza nel salone principale. Nulla é lasciato al caso e ogni dettaglio é stato curato nel totale rispetto dell'epoca in cui é nata la Masseria...anche il canto del gallo al mattino! Che dire? A Villa Gioia non é difficile lasciare il cuore. In quelle stanze la mia vita si é intrecciata con quella di altre persone e quando ripenso a quei giorni e a quelle atmosfere autentiche e magistralmente degne del "senza tempo" il mio cuore si riempie di " Gioia". É praticamente inevitabile. Semplicemente grazie a tutti coloro che hanno aperto le loro stanze più preziose a noi viaggiatori.
