Well. Firstly the photos do not match the listing but that is just a few changes of furniture and curtains etc. The villa is well equipped and has fast internet and English tv. The garden is amazing and for a small supliment the pool can be heated to a very warm temperature. Would book again

Had a great stay
I have stayed in a few of the owners properties over the last 2 decades and always find a home from home. Any time I find something that is not 100 percent the manager sorts it out, whether that's Mark, Chris or Peter. They have reopened after covid with new sofas new white goods and a smile. I wish them the best for the future

Terribile!!!!!
Ho soggiornato in questa casa a inizio giugno con le mie cugine. Avremmo dovuto intrattenerci per 4 notti ma, dopo 2 notti, abbiamo deciso di abbandonare la casa e cercare qualcosa di meglio per non rovinarci il soggiorno nell'incantevole Lanzarote.
La villa e' piuttosto datata e necessita di un po' di cura e manutenzione, ma questo non e' stato il problema principale del nostro soggiorno.
Le foto presenti nel sito non sono per nulla recenti e niente appare come sembra. Il divano, ad esempio, non era piu' rosso ma nero per l'usura e forse lo sporco. In uno dei due bagni mancano un paio di piastrelle nel pavimento ed i tappetini presenti erano molto sporchi. Le camere da letto avevano biancheria pulita, ma le stanze erano estremamente umide: una camera da letto era invasa dalle formiche tanto da essere pizzicata durante la notte.
La cucina non era molto equipaggiata e le poche stoviglie presenti erano sporche e unte. Il locale caldaia, fuori dalla cucina, si presenta in pessimo stato di manutenzione e lo considererei addirittura un pericolo per chi ha dei bambini. La piscina era pulita ma le sdraio ed il divanetto presenti erano molto usurate e necessitavano di una sostituzione. Infine, la pulizia si e' dimostrata del tutto insufficiente e precaria ed in casa c'era un odore terribile.
Abbiamo fatto presente le problematiche al proprietario tramite Airbnb, dopo essercene andate, e lui ha risposto con un sacco di bugie...al limite della diffamazione!!
SCONSIGLIO VIVAMENTE QUESTO ALLOGGIO!
ps: le recensioni negative presenti corrispondono perfettamente alla nostra esperienza; mi chiedo se quelle positive siano invece state create dall'host stesso....

Terrible experience. At the beginning of our stay we laughed at the terrible state but the laughter soon turned to tears as the realization set in. Do yourself and your family a favour and book somewhere else. Owners and so called management do not respond. They didn’t respond while we were there and they haven’t responded since our return despite numerous emails sent. We stayed 4 times previously in one of the owners other villas in 2011/2012 without too many problems however this villa Casa Christophe is absolutely disgusting and not as advertised. What an unexpected shock! Rusty shower, cold pool, electrical problems causing endless blackouts, rusty broken BBQ, broken microwave, no bedding left to make the beds, broken filthy washing machine, ants crawling over the bed that we couldn’t stop despite buying cleaner to try and clean and the list goes on. I have written a detailed account to the owners but have had no response. We booked for 10 days but left after 5. Enough was enough. Calls and messages were ignored and still ignored. Once they have your money they don’t care at all. Had it only been me staying then I probably would have stuck it out but with two children and my elderly mother, it wasn’t an option. They refused to stay a moment longer and I don’t blame them. To our inconvenience and cost, we moved to a lovely villa which we found on AirBnB for around the same price as Casa Christophe which was exactly as advertised and the owners were absolutely lovely, a real credit to the holiday rental industry. It had all the facilities that Casa Christophe claims to have. Thankfully the second half of our holiday was salvaged. Casa Christophe was so awful that we didn’t mind paying for a new villa. That’s how bad Casa Christophe was! We visit Lanzarote several times a year, renting villas whenever we go. If this had been our first experience of villa renting in Lanzarote then it could possibly have been our last. Fortunately it was not and we love Lanzarote and all the other villas we have stayed in.

As far as I am concerned this is a complete falsification. You told me that you had not known the property was not in a resort so tried to make up terrible lies in an attempt to gain a refund and move to a location you preferred. Could I suggest in future you check the location properly and act with a degree of honesty and decency. I stand by the quality of my properties and I believe most of my reviews support this.

Quietly and well situated villa
Casa Christophe is well situated in a quiet residential road in a small village. It is well placed for access to the entire island - the road network and quality of the roads is excellent. The villa is a good size and it is nicely placed in it's grounds (though I personally don't like astro turf around the pool but I can see it might be safer for children than stone). It is well screened from it's neighbours so you have complete privacy. The villa is well equipped and neat, though perhaps a little dated. The small double beds did not suit tall long limbed people like us so we slept in separate rooms.I didn't find the mattresses the most comfortable, though my husband was fine with his. The showers were good and strong, though I am not keen on shower curtains as they cling to you as you shower. WiFi was rather intermittent, however Chris made every effort to sort this out for us and was generous with his time. There is a small supermarket in the village with long opening hours and a good choice of places to eat, including the best takeaway pizza, in Teguise just a mile up the road. We didn't use the pool, so can't comment on it, but can see it would be a great asset in the summer. All in all, I would recommend this villa.

Lovely Visit
I recently visited my Grandparents while they were on holiday at this Villa and it was such a lovely stay. It was just like being at home and I didn’t want to come home. I would definitely visit again

Another Great Holiday in this Villa
Just had our usual 4 week stay in Christophe covering most of November. It is now like home from home and we shall be returning for the whole of March. As usual Peter and his son Chris looked after us very well, making sure it was a very enjoyable holiday. Ideal place to spend as much of the winter months as you can even if this year was a bit wetter than normal. With temperatures in the 20s it doesn't fell so bad!
Looking forward to March.

Yet another wonderful stay in Villa Christophe
We have been staying in Villa Christophe and Peter's other villas for the past few years. We like to spend about two months of the winter split between a stay in November and one in February. As always we are very well looked after by Peter and son Chris who go out of their way to make the holiday as enjoyable and trouble free as possible without intruding too much. We were impressed with the way the villa had been updated since our stay last November with a complete new kitchen and tasteful decoration etc. We always go for a heated pool although the weather was a bit cool this visit we did manage to make use of it during the last week of our stay. The central heating was appreciated as well. Thanks Peter.

Fantastic holiday
Great place, had a fantastic time. Great villa and a very helpful landlord. We hired a very reasonably priced car from Peter, I would put the capacity of the villa to 4 people. The palm trees are great in this Vila.

WOW, What an amazing place to stay
We use villas all the time but can truly say that this is the best villa we have ever stayed in. From the moment we walked out of the departure hall we were treated like royalty. The manager was waiting for used, he collected our luggage, we got in the car and were escorted to our villa. During the short drive he gave us a guide about where to shop, places to visit, a guide about the customs and driving advice. Upon arriving at the villa which was absolutely superb he explained how everything worked and assured us that if we needed anything we could contact him 24 hours a day.
The villa was spotlessly clean, the mature gardens were also well maintained, we were extremely happy to see that all the bedding was white and we cooked see that it was of good quality. The villa is nicely laid out with large patio doors onto the gardens, we were able to lay in bed having morning coffee and enjoy the amazing views, in the heat of the afternoon sun we were able to find nice shade under the large palm trees. We had o be truthful we had many barbecues and to be truthful we didn't venture from the villa much. The pool was lovely and clean and like everything in the villa well maintained. The Manager was polite and always helpful and we plan to go back as soon as possible. WELL DONE PETER.
