Nelle gallerie fotografiche nel centro di Chicago non manca mai uno scatto del Cloud Gate nel Millennium Park (detto anche "The Bean", il fagiolo), uno dei luoghi di interesse più celebri della città. Una favolosa skyline, abbinata ad attrazioni culturali come l'Art Institute of Chicago, introduce a una "downtown" dove lavoro e divertimento coesistono pacificamente.

Ottimo!

Nello scorso settembre, abbiamo programmato con due amici il trail della route 66, the mother road. Chicago è il punto di partenza, per cui abbiamo dedicato alcuni giorni preliminari alla visita della città. La scelta dell’hotel blake si è rivelata azzeccata, sotto ogni punto di vista. Ha un eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo, posizione centrale (ma molto tranquilla e silenziosa), personale gentile e professionale, camera rispondente alle nostre aspettative di pulizia e comfort. Lo consigliamo senza alcun dubbio.

buon hotel buona posizione

Buon hotel posizionato a poche centinaia di metri dal millennium park e da tutte le meravigliose attrazioni del loop di chicago. Camere spaziose, ben pulite, asciugamani cambiati ogni giorno, comodo il materasso. Personale gentile e disponibile

Benvenuti a Chicago

Hotel molto carino e comodo per visitare Chicago,praticamente a due passi dalla metro e 5 minuti a piedi da Michigan avenue. Camere molto belle e spaziose. Al piano terra é presente un caffé che serve ottime colazioni all’americana. Il personale é estremamente gentile ed esponibile. Vi auguro di incontrare il simpaticissimo “showtime” e se potete fatevi chiamare un taxi per strada da lui. Benvenuti a Chicago

Una buona scelta

Albergo di buon livello,centrale ed economico.Ha soddisfatto le mie aspettative,nessun problema.Vicino ai ristoranti e bar nonché alla navetta per l'aeroporto.Raccomando questo albergo sotto tutti i punti di vista,staff gentile e stanze confortevoli.

Comodo al centro

Albergo non nuovissimo, ma a pochi minuti a piedi dal loop e inoltre vicino sia lalla metro blu sia a quella rossa, entrambe a circa 300mt. Non offre la colazione ma sotto Di fronte c'è uno starbucks e parecchi ristoranti e birrerie nelle vicinanze. Collegato all'hotel anche l'ottimo Meli Cafè. Tra i pro la stanza spaziosa e il personale alla reception molto gentile e disponibile. Inoltre cassaforte e ottima Wi-Fi in camera, una bella tv e macchinetta per il caffè.. Tra i contro bagno vecchiotto, la stanza un po' fredda e la pulizia delle stanze che lascia a desiderare. In particolare non rimpiazzavano sempre shampoo e necessario per il caffè, e polvere nell'armadio.

Many of the older comments talk about ear plugs being provided. We had no ear plugs and spent the first night listening to a large truck beeping at a smaller vehicle from about 1:30 am to 2:30 am. Given we already had a problem with the room being cold and no- one in the building knowing how to work the half broken thermostat we didn't even consider asking- for ear plugs. So my question Blue Green. Is how come the questions or comments go from getting a good view to getting heat in your room- forget the earplugs and Starbucks coffee. The Rishi tea is also gone-replaced by cheap no- taste tea. What a shame.

Does this hotel offer military rate/ discount?

This is not a big chain of hotels( e.g. Hilton etc.), however they offer some corporate discount. I would call them directly and ask before proceeding with your booking.

How long is the travel time from O'Hare Airport to Hotel Blake & where should I get off? How long is travel time to United Center from Blake Hotel & where should I get off?

If you can take the train ( Blue Line) would be the fastest option. However took us only half an hour when we arrive, however it was an hour and half in solid traffic on the way back to the airport when we left. For the United Center the Hotel Blake is very convenient, it was 10 min by taxi with light city traffic.

We are staying at the Blake hotel soon with our 3 young kids. What is within walking distance that would be fun for our kids to do or see?

Walk north up State Street or Michigan Avenue to the Chicago River Walk (at Wacker Drive). Jump on a river excursion boat. Maybe get them up to Navy Pier from there and ride the giant ferris wheel. Catch a cab or Uber back.

What breakfast choices are available around the area? Is it convenient to get to McCormick place convention centre?

There are many restaurants within walking distance and the helpful staff can certainly recommend someplace. I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with the convention center.
