We highly recommend this B&B. We've stayed at many B&B's over the years, and this is one of the best. Our rooms were clean, beds very comfortable, and breakfasts delicious and expertly prepared. Many thoughtful touches, such as a variety of soaps and lotions to choose from, a host of reading materials, and providing a fridge, microwave, TV, etc. for the exclusive use of guests. Carrie is a friendly and likeable person, and made us feel welcome.
Ideally situated and comfy bed and breakfast near to the centre of Fort Macleod. If you want to visit the Historic Fort or the preserved main street with its historic buidings, you can easily leave the car at the B&B and walk. Carry does a mean breakfast and is very welcoming.
I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Fort Macleod! There are a few hotels and motels there but they are, in my opinion, runned down. I have stayed in many B&B's throughout my years of travel and Carry Me Away is one of the best! Carrie and her parents are the most down to earth and genuine people I have ever met. Carrie puts alot of love and care into her home, the B&B and her gardens and it is evident that love and care is involved. Your tummy will know! I had the whole floor to myself! Everything you need is there and bonus is there is a bathtub! Yes there is shower as well. What you get; Privacy of the bottom floor that has a living areas, with TV (many channels), free Wi-fi, there is small fridge, toaster, toaster oven, kettle. Many sitting options between couches and sofa chairs and there is a rocking chair for children. Plenty of toys for both kids and adults. Puzzles, games, a slew of memorabilia! They have a history of horse racing and so there is alot of horse memorabilia of the good old days of horse racing. So many books. Oh and if you like sailing and tall ships then you would love the room I stayed in. The bed was so comfortable! I slept like a baby. They graciously loaned me a cycle! I had so much fun. The breakfast is absolutely delicious with a flexible menu and mostly organic foods some coming from their own garden. Fresh picked and on your plate and you can feel the love Carrie puts into her garden. If you run out of toiletries she has whatever you need and more! They are very accommodating, flexible and aim to please. If you like church there is a lovely one just 1 block away. Wonderful congregation. There are other churches in Fort Macleod but I was happy...very happy with Sundays sermon. For $75...best bang for your buck! It deserves 10/10 rating. I stayed 5 days 4 nights and would not stay anywhere else if I ever find myself back in Fort Macleod. I highly recommend this B&B.…
Consigliato!
