Daniel was a gracious host and gave us time and space to wonder throughout his peaceful property. Lovely artwork by many very talented artists spread out under tree lined yard that also has a beautiful creek/river behind his home. He told us of the native indigenous history and some interesting stories about their past on this land. It was actually a spiritual experience and the idea of having artists painting with their easels/canvases among this environment, made it an ideal location to stimulate creative energy.

Originally an unexpected find off of Hwy#36 between Bobcaygeon & Buckhorn. I have been several times and never disappointed. Your hosts Daniel and Lynn are super friendly and welcoming. They allow you to browse their outdoor gallery at your leisure, yet are always available to answer any questions. They offer you a visit down to the Miskwaa River which is breathtaking and always changing. I never drive by without stopping in!

This is a wonderful way to view art pieces. Set against a natural backdrop, the colours from each piece come alive. Daniel and Lynn were excellent hosts and guides for our experience.

Daniel is very welcoming & invites you to wander the beautiful wooded setting & enjoy the art of some very talented local artists. Daniel, himself has a display of his highly unique & incredibly beautiful work.
You are also invited to wander down to the river, a beautiful, soothing experience. Daniel may take your picture standing by the huge anuktuk he has crafted.

This is the Miskwaa Man currently at the beautiful Miskwaa Studio & Outdoor Gallery. This a little gem just outside of Bobcaygeon in Buckhorn. Outdoor art gallery with a small but always impressive collection of unique and exciting art from local artists. Art in the collection is for sale and displayed around outdoors around the grounds.
Daniel Marlatt, the owner (and an artist who art is also featured here as well) and his wife are delightfully generous with their time and encourage visitors to spend some time sitting by the beautiful river at the back of the property. Daniel uses natural materials, wood and stone in his art but the outdoor gallery features many different kinds of art on the grounds.
This is an inspiring creative place to visit with incredible artwork and a glorious, peaceful break by the river.
Two creative thumbs up! Highly, highly recommended.

So happy we got a chance to discover this gallery. From the moment we arrived Daniel was welcoming and helpful. Allowing us to explore the unique outdoor gallery under the canopy of trees was a great way to discover the different artists. Seeing Daniel's art on his website does not compare to seeing them in person. We fell in love with many pieces but ultimately decided on two to take home. If you are ever in this area, or just looking for a great destination for a day trip, make this one on your list

Thank you for sharing your experience and spending time to explore what I have to offer visitors , I am always humbled when one of my works finds a new and loving home to be enjoyed for many years , I have to admit it was bitter sweet to see lunar reflection go , I enjoyed it daily from the time I had created it , however I can feel assured it will be cherished.

My daughter and I stopped by this wonderful outdoor studio today. Daniel was a wonderful host. Daniel’s works and those of all the other artists were stunning.

We sent the best part of an afternoon viewing the works of local artists and then chatting with Daniel. He is very amiable, knowledgeable and experienced. Great way to spend an afternoon.

A wonderful way to spend a summer afternoon is at the gallery. Enjoy art featuring local artists in a beautiful outdoor setting on the bank of the Miskwaa Ziibi River. Looking forward to going back.

Prepandemic, after seeing a sign pointing to the road leading to the gallery, we turned off and headed to its location. What a find! This lovely outdoor art gallery is a delight to visit. Daniel and his wife, Lynne, have done a wonderful job of displaying local artists’ works, including his own unique paintings and sculptures. The art is displayed throughout the property, on trees and stands, in an outdoor building and in an open covered area beside it. We have been back several times to this friendly and inviting space. We are impressed by how much the owners have done to support local artists and to provide a place for visitors to enjoy a peaceful natural setting and purchase beautiful interesting artwork at fair prices. We are the proud owners of three exceptional works of art found at the gallery. On showing the pieces to friends and family, the response has always been “Wow!, that’s amazing! Where did you get that?” We highly recommend a visit to The Miskwaa Studio and Outdoor Gallery, a genuine treasure in cottage country.
