Un centro de rescate en el que se siente el compromiso y amor a los animales. Buenos espacios. Se podría mejorar la señalética y tratar de acompañar mejor a visitantes. No todos tienen conocimiento y se comportan como en un zoo tradicional y antiguo. Se les podría ayudar a mirar los procesos de tráfico de especies de otra forma, no solo desde la contemplación del extraño en cautiverio

I worked as a volunteer for a week at Yana Cocha and saw in raw detil what is involved in animal conservation in the Amazon. I fed, cleaned out and handled the animals (where safe) and experienced the sadness of losing animals to sickness and the effect of human barbarity towards them. I also experienced the elation of releasing a three toed sloth back into the jungle. You can visit for a few hours and see the animals which is in itself a wonderous thing but actually working with them is priceless.

A second change for every animals brought here and cared for with so much personalized love. I was one of their more unusual volunteer, older at 59 but the joy and pleasure every thing I did during my recent 4 weeks stay were much more than anything I have read or could imaging. Raul the owner truly cares for every single animals here. They never turn away any animals brought in to be cared for, every animal has a name, personalized care etc. Volunteers the lifeline to these animals from all over the world, mostly younger worked tirelessly including myself with our purest and best intentions. I never imagined I could actually spent all my time there caring and getting to know every animals there. I know some volunteers expected better services but please understand, you are here to help these amazing and innocent animals that we human have caused so much harm and pain. A private run reserve has no money from other sources but from the volunteers and definitely cannot provide expensive comfort for us the volunteers. Of course it would be great to have more modern comfort but remember why you are here. Be gracious, open your hearts and minds and the experience will be one of your best in this life time. We were allowed to train animals of our choice and one cannot imagine what an amazing experience to be able to give these rescued animals love, care and trust, do continue to support Yanacocha to enable Raul and his family to take care and provide a safe place for the animals. Come volunteer, its amazing.

Muy mala atención, no hay guía si quieres guía te cuesta 10 dolares aparte de los 5 dólares de la entrada.

Muy buenas tardes , su respuesta me parece un descaro , nuestro centro trabaja arduamente en el servicio y atención y por eso el valor es 4$ adultos y 3$ los niños sin embargo le hemos echo un descuento ; nuestras políticas no ofrecen en el valor incluido guía ya que atravesamos una pandemia y todos los recursos son para comidas y mejoras ; lo que si ofrecemos guía aparte para contratar a gente de la comunidad que se ayude a trabajo . Sin embargo fueron un grupo fullicioso irrespetuosos sus niños corrían por todo el centro sin atención los padres maleducados tiraban basura malos turistas

Très beau parc avec des chemins au milieu de plantes et arbres qui nous donnent l impression d être dans la jungle.

Un lugar espectacular para los verdaderos amantes de la naturaleza, no es un zoológico aquí podemos ver el respeto hacia los animales, los cuidan , los monitorean y en muchas de las veces son liberados.
Este lugar esta lleno de vida ya qué hay especies que están libres dentro del centro , monitor , Guayusa, caimanes es un verdadero paraíso.

Yana Cocha is an amazing animal sanctuary. Each of the animals is loved and cared for. I volunteered there for 2 weeks and I learned so much. Raul treats the refuge like home and all of the volunteers, staff, and animals like family. If you want to make a difference in the lives of these injured and orphaned animals, see beautiful Ecuador, and have your life changed, you should absolutely either visit or volunteer!

Es la mejor reserva cerca al Puyo. Muchos animalitos y buen sendero. mis hijos disfrutaron mucho este paseo.

This is really well worth a visit. Set within lovely grounds, with many trees, shrubs etc. Good footpaths and interesting areas with streams, pools etc. Very interesting to see the abundance of wildlife in seemingly natural surroundings was a delight to see. Good to be able to identify the different animals, birds and reptiles up close. Very well kept areas.
