Beautiful village with a sombre past

This used to be a Greek village but at the end of the Greco-Turk war, all its Greek habitants were asked to leave during the exchange of population.

The village was then abandoned for years and is now being renovated by Turkish people.

This is a beautiful walk around.

Kesinlikle ihtiyarlardan uzak durun, parayı bastırıp evleri almışlar zamanında sokaklarında sahibi sanıyorlar kendilerini , ukala ve terbiyesiz yaklaşımları var başınızı derde sokarsiniz

Doğası müthiş çok sakin bir yer, gezmeniz için güzel fakat oturup Mola Cafe’de bir şeyler yemek isterseniz fiyatları baya uçuk geldi bize. Hem menü zengin değil, hem ilgisizler hem de fiyatlar o kadar uçuk ki ödediğimiz fiyat içimize oturdu. Sizler de bu mağduriyeti yaşamayın. Tercih etmemenizi öneririm.

A beautiful village in a wooded valley above the sea.

This is a beautiful ancient village set in a wooded valley above the sea. The village was abandoned after the population exchanges in the 1920s, when the former (Greek) inhabitants were required to leave their homes and get resettled in Greece. In recent years many abandoned houses have been brought back to life, creating a very picturesque scene, It is the perfect spot to chill-out after a visit to the nearby classical sites of Prien or Miletos. My friend and I enjoyed a pleasant stroll and then settled down for refreshments at Mola Cafe. Unfortunately we were greatly disappointed to be massively overcharged at this place. We strongly recommend visitors check the exact price of any products you are offered at this cafe, so as to avoid a nasty surprise. A visit to this village, however, is highly recommended.

5 Ekim günü Söke’den geçerken bu rum köyünü fark ettik ve buraya girdik yolu biraz var eski bir rum köyü şimdi sağlam evlerde Türk vatandaşlarımız oturuyor taş bir ev yolu bozulmamış taş yol çok korkunç bir rüzgâr vardı gezdik burada bulunan müzeyi gezdik kafesinde kahve içtik müzede güzel

Vous mettez la voiture sur le parking à l'entrée du village sur le parking du musée (à visiter absolument) et vous plonger dans les rues de ce village qui sentent l'histoire et la mélancolie.
Flanner parmi les maisons en pierre avec la nature. Superbe je recommande

Very peaceful and beautiful village

We stayed at Eskidogbaney House for 4 nights, both on 2008 and again in 2022. Beautiful accommodation and a wonderfully, peaceful and attractive old village. This was originally one of the Greek villages that were cleared in the 1920’s and is slowly being renovated with lots of accomodation options and a few cafes. The best cafe is the Samos Restaurant on the main walking path from the car park.

Eski Selanik evleri, harika ortam. Sessiz sakin yıldızlarla dolu akşamlar.
Minik bir müzesi var. Puli kafe butik hotel harika..

Sanırım doğal kalan son rum evlerinden bir köy. Koşun yetişin... Alaçatı,Şirince gibi ticari atmosfere sahip olmadan mutlaka görün.Doğası manzarası herşey çok iyidi...bu güzellik kaybolmadan gezilip,görülmeli...

Bahsedildiği kadar heyecan uyandırmadı. Çoğu yıkılmış, taş evlerden oluşan küçük bir köy. Özel olarak gidilmeye gerek yok.
