Wehave all collectively crafted and placed a memory chip in our minds, embedded with ever green memories of Nepal as a whole. Pasupathinath and Mukthinath with host of other temples which we have never dreamt to even visit are truly soul kindling
Everest ranges often reminds us of " Resham firiri...Resham feriri song, which binds the country of Nepal.
Janakpur, Sakthi Sthal and Swayambunath are places which have thrilled us with it's antique beauty and architecture marvel.
Life can't be full without choicest friends and their families. Mukthinath has bestowed us with three families to ever cherish.
Our sincere thsnks to Base Camp tours Mr. SHANKAR...Our local guide Shiva , Pradeep..they r the best..very good hotel accomodation food and transport

A Hindu & Boudhdha temple dedicated to Sri Vishnu & Sri Budhdha.
Lot if people visit this holy place every year.
Situated in natural beauty at a height of 3800 mtr this place is attracts allof us when we reach this temple.
Darshan is easy. In front of temple there are 2 Kaunda's called Lakshmi & Saraswati Kunda. People take bath in these Holy Kunda.
There are 108 holy taps in which also people will take bath in all 108 taps.
But the route from Pokhra to Muktinath is very worst, I have ever seen. So it is advisable to travel by Helicopter to Muktinath.

great experience but needs a lot of improvement for basic facilities.
They seem to be pocketing all the money being collected.
Very sad since people come a very long way for the pilgrimage

Being one of the few fortunate ones to visit this temple, writing a summary of my experience for others to gain.
Muktinath is famous for it's temple, however a trekkers paradise.
The only flight to the nearest town is Jomsom, which is a 90 min drive from muktinath. You can drive down from Pokhara, which is a 10-12 HR drive (roads r very bad).
Accommodation options are good in Jomsom, some decent ones in muktinath as well. Few options online.
Food, water and other basic needs are overpriced, so stock up well before reaching there.
The walk from the taxi stand to the temple is around 20 minutes. Pony rides are available as well. Cars r not allowed.
The temple opens at 6 and closes at around 6.30 pm. So plan well
Temperature during October to December can be harsh. (-10°c) so get your clothing right as rooms don't have heating.
Overall a good visit and must enjoy views on the way.

Muktinath is an Exotic Pilgrimage location for the Hindus and Buddhist . Most Important it is well connected from the main city of Kathmandu .
The Best and new thing I liked was it is managed by Buddhist Nuns who look calm and composed on face and the spiritual aura of Kali Gandaki river .

my advice is not to go we are age of 70 but we could go as we are fit .muktinath is about 10000 ft high there are pony available but still you have to climb for about 30 minutes which is not possible for you due to knee problem no doly or palkhi available
it is a beautiful place snow cap mountains of annapurna range clearly visible now you have to decide whether to go or not

I am planning to travel to Mukhtinath this June. I want to know how to travel from pokhra to Mukhtinath?
what are the travel options available from pokhra? can I jet a bike, pony or a jeep? what is the charge ?
Scritta in data 8 giugno 2017
There are 3 options for u.
1. Take flight pokhara to jomsom: Tara air, simrik air are only 2 operational airlines at the moment . If Nepalese citizen you get good discount if you book just a day before flight for international rate remains pretty much same .
2. Take public transport: many mini bus , wagon, 4wd are available from pokhara , kathmandu or sunauli directly till jomsom and I must say it's very exhausting journey as It's country road with bumps and no concrete pathway .
3. Hire bike : you can rent bike and guide from many tour operator . Google map might not support fully but there are kilostones and direction guidance through out the way till jomsom.
All mode of transport except private rentals will only take you till jomsom as there is no bridge for vehicle except bike to cross river Kali gandaki . After you cross the wooden bridge there are buses and wagon which will take you directly till ranipauwa mustang .
Jomsom to muktinath fare : Rs. 265 direct
Jomsom to kagbeni: Rs. 140
Kagbeni to muktinath: rs 200
