Βρίσκεται στις Μαργαρίτες Ρεθύμνου,εργαστήριο μικρών κεραμικών και πολύ μεγάλων πυθαριων.Αξιζει να το επισκεφτείτε όπως και το χωριό Μαργαρίτες Ρεθύμνου που είναι ένα πανεμορφο χωριό,όπως και όλη η περιοχή του Μυλοποτάμου!!!

Tsika Lario fun with the family

This ceramic workshop and sales room is just outside the main village of Margarites, up the hill a short walk in the hamlet of Pigouniana. We were staying in a nearby villa so my wife visited to see if we could take the children to participate in a pottery workshop.

All of the children were excited to take part that coming saturday. We arrived and spent a fabulous hour with our host, learning of some of the local history of the ceramic industry, where the clay was collected and most exciting of all everyone got to have a go at making their own pot on the potters wheel. With careful guidance and support 6 of us produced our very own pottery pieces.
Our host kindly explained that the pieces would need to dry out for 7 days then would be fired, then glazed and fired again. We were invited to return and collect them after this time. So one word of caution, if you are on holiday for 2 weeks, then do this early in your stay!

Upon our return we were presented with our fabulous ceramics. Fired, glazed and looking rather amazing. My wife asked how much we would need to pay for the workshop and our pots to be told it was all FREE!

Unbelievable hospitality from another of our Cretan visits. All over the island during our 3 week visit we were greeted with kindness and hospitality. Tsika Lario was another highlight of our trip. Great fun for an hour and an exciting return trip to collect.

The wares on sale were also so reasonably priced, we bought bowls glazed in the same colour as our creation to add to our collection. Large bowls starting at 12 euros and small at 4 euros.

Make a visit and get creative.

Juste avant l’entrée dans le village cette boutique de poterie est bien sympathique.
Sous le patio, vous découvrirez les différentes étapes : un peu d’histoire, le matériel, les étapes à suivre sur...
A l’intérieur la patronne vous fera volontiers une petite démonstration sur le ‘tour’ pour faire devant vous un petit vase ou autre création instantanée.
Enfin vous découvrirez le magasin et au fond, l’atelier avec 2 grands fours de cuisson.

Informative Ausstellung und sehr schöne Keramik
set 2018 • Amici
Mehr als nur ein weiterer Keramikladen in Margarites. Mehr als 20 Tafeln informieren über die lokale und regionale Geschichte der Töpferkunst. Wir konnten bei der Arbeit zuschauen und preiswert sehr schöne Teile erwerben, u.a. ein paar Raki-Becher und einen innovativen Salzstreuer.

מרגריטס הוא כפר הקדרים המותיר שכמעט כל הבתים בכפר הם בתי מלאכה לכלי קרמיקה, ובחזיתותיהם פרוסים אינספור כלים וחפצי נוי שבירים.זרם התיירות הבלתי פוסק לכרתים נתן אותותיו בכפר הקסום ששינה את פניו ומיסחר עצמו לדעת.אם בביקורינו הקודמים טיילנו בין סדנאות אמנים וצפינו בהם בעבודה הרי שכיום הוא הפך לקניון של חרס.כזאת היא גם טסיקה לאריו שאומנם מאפשרת לראות עבודת אובמיים תוך הסבר האנגלית משובחת אבל מציעה למכירה מלכודת דבש,וזה בלשון המעטה.
טוב שאפשר להירגע מהמטןמורפזה של מרגריטס בשיטוט בין סימטאותיה ולגלות פינות חמד כמו שהן כבר שנים והקידמה עוד לא שמה עליהן את ידיה הגסות.

Très intéressant

Nous avons visité la poterie dans le cadre d'une excursion en petit train au départ de Panormos.
Nous avons eu une démonstration par la Patronne, très impressionnante de rapidité.
On a ensuite découvert la boutique, On nous a accueillis avec un verre de raki et un petit gâteau, très agréables.
Les prix sont très corrects et il y a un choix important de poterie colorées.
Comme nous posions beaucoup de questions, la patronne nous a emmenés tous les deux dans son atelier à l'arrière et nous a expliqué le procédé de fabrication de ses poteries du début à la fin. N'hésitez pas, c'est très instructif.

Beautiful village and lovely pottery
set 2016
Margarites is a very lovely little village with real Cretan taste. It's a simple place away from the many touristy places around the island. Worth a visit for those who wish to get a real feeling of the local life here.

Schöne handgearbeitete Keramiken

Es ist schön die arbeiten zu sehen und auch bei der Entstehung zuzusehen. Man kann diese auch vor Ort kaufen zu einem wirklich günstigen Preis. Wer mag kann sich auch gerne selber probieren. Schöne Geschichte des Betriebes auf großen Bildern und Wänden erzählt.

Ездили на экскурсию на паровозике из Панормо.Одним из пунктов посещения была и эта гончарная мастерская. Для детей особенно интересно, есть огромный кувшины, куда можно спрятаться, есть и малюсенькие. Там же можно попробовать себя в гончарном деле, и приобрести готовые сувениры на любой вкус.
