Did this trip with Petes Tours and Transfers. pickup at hotel on time. conditions on the boat ride were rough but added to the experience. Met the chief and had a really good chat about his and island life. lunch was basic (but nice) and a few hours snorkelling ( which was good but wouldnt say the best in Vanuatu as some advertise it ) Overall a very enjoyable experience

Great environment, snorkeling average, no beverages available, 1000 Vatu entry fee for nothing, great guys on the boats for a very reasonable fee. TripAdvisor got it very wrong regarding the costs.

You can get to this island on your own without going through a tour company. Go to the jetty nearby and approach the local there with their boats and they will tell you how much for a return trip. They will drop you and come back or stay and wait for you.
Take your own food and drinks and snorkelling gear. When you get to the island, talk to a local and you will be charged a small fee for being there. With this you get a table and chairs, including loungers, and your own beach front spot to hang out in. Sun screen and insect repellant also useful. You can wander around the island and go swimming and snorkelling - there are many tracks you are welcome to use. A great day out.

Stayed one night, boat was waiting for us at the wharf and took us over. Basic cabin with basic facilities, shower was cold and a lack that you pour over self. But it is as described and not pretending to 4 star at all. Very much like camping with basic but clean amenities. Enoch was very friendly and helpful. Basically living as part of the local community mot in tourist type accommodation. Could have stayed a week just back to basics and living simply in a beautiful place.

My husband and I were picked up by Evergreen tours...for a day trip to Pele Island. The Evergreen van was a bit cramped which was uncomfortable for a long time after all our hotel pick ups along the way to catch the small boat across to Pele Island.
Good driver considering the pot holes and traffic in places and all the road works.
Our guide Ronald was excellent.
It was a very local experience....boat across to Pele was low lying if the sea is choppy...I would suggest they should have life jackets in each boat. They are offered once on the island. We Met the Chief George...but no ladies giving necklaces as I had previously read not that this mattered to us.
We were shown around the village and met the children who were very friendly. This island is run by the chief and locals...only bore hole water and some rain tanks. No powered electricity. Snorkelling was good to begin with then the sea got too choppy..which I wouldn’t recommend for kids.
Lunch was a basic bbq...coffee and biscuits offered. Sad to say not a lot of coral is alive but still plenty of fish. We enjoyed our truly local Vanuatu style day to Pele.
One recommendation going on this tour dress into your swimmers before you go as there are no change rooms there and the toilets not the best.

I stayed at Senababa beach bungalow for 4 days and was warmly welcomed by the owners Frank and Eileen. The bungalow is comfortable and a minute from the beach. Eileen prepared me 3 meals a day and I can say that I was never hungry as the meals were generous and very tasty. You can swim, snorkel, walk or just sit back and chill. I loved it. Oh, there's no electricity but they have solar so you can stay connected to the world if you choose. Lovely people, great place. Would definately visit again.
