Had a great couple of hours here. We were meant to go last year but couldn’t make it and after emailing the day before, they were more than happy to let us use the “older” tickets. Clean, tidy and wasn’t too busy! Boat & Train ride were fun. Kids loved them. Gruffalo trail was excellent and interactive. Had a quick bite to eat and food was decent. Would recommend.

We were just passing through, heading to Maroochydore but we had to have a quick stop at The Ginger Factory, for a top-up of their beautiful and the best tasting ginger products – yes, I know… we can order online but I much prefer to view the products in person and entry is FREE (including parking). If you want to do rides or factory tour tastings, you need to purchase your tickets either online or from the front desk – they accept both cash or card. We have been at The Ginger Factory a few years ago, the best experience for families – young or old, it’s fun, colourful and memorable. We took part in the ‘Overboard’ experience (our first visit a few years ago), the ride is smooth and the puppetry show was amazing and very entertaining – our girls absolutely enjoyed the ride, the smiles on their faces, was priceless… highly recommend. Their factory had welcoming renovations and more new activities since our last visit and their café area is still spacious, comfortable and ever so clean and strollers/wheelchair friendly access. There’s lots to choose to eat or drink, staff are very friendly and patient, well maintained and service quick and efficient, considering how packed the place was – definitely a popular tourism spot. This factory is well worth a visit or in my case… visits 😊, you could easily spend a few hours or a whole day there, lots to do and see. Or if you are on a tight budget, just simply stroll, browse around their beautiful surrounding and have something to eat and/or drink. They even have a Kids Play Area and lots of photo opportunities, love their beautiful mural display. Just before we left, we visited the gift stores and bought lots of goodies. If ginger products not for you, they do stock other delicious products and souvenirs (supporting other local companies as well). I bought a couple of jars of plum jam – they are rare to find, and of course my ginger survival pack. If you are planning on going to The Ginger Factory, download the Gruffalo Trail app, so you’re ready to go when you arrive and be part of the journey and follow the trail. No wonder why, The Ginger Factory is a popular place and why they have won many awards - well deserving! Definitely will be back again, just as couples and do the ‘Live Bee Show & Tastings’ and ‘Factory Tour & Tastings’. Highly recommend for young and old and they are opened 7 days a week (closed on Christmas day only), from 9am to 5pm.

Great spot for something different, something for everyone with free entry & very reasonably priced add ons. We did the ginger factory tour & tasting. Good amount of information & lovely guide. Great tasting with free take home recipe cards. No pushing of products very relaxed whisk recommend.

We visited The Yandina Ginger Factory a few weeks ago and what a delightful place.
We did a tour and had a good look around then a coffee with ginger scones and purchase some ginger delights😊😊
All of this place is well worth a visit!!
Also the Ginger Refresher is the best and is a concentrate with water to add. Very best Ginger Drink around far better than any other Ginger Beer or cordial on the market!

Fantastic few hours out.
Very clean, lots of staff to help
Boat ride is fantastic, again very clean .. it could easily be dusty and not maintained but it’s wonderfully kept ..
we enjoyed the train ride & grounds.. Lunch in the cafe,was quick and nice .. Bought some souvenirs..

We stopped here on our 300 km drive from North Lakes to Hervey Bay.
After visiting the Point Cartwright viewpoint, we drove 36 km northwest to this popular center of activity. Although it’s primarily designed for children, we enjoyed seeing the murals, flowers and pottery/gift shops. Departing, we noted the Nutworks across the street and stopped to learn about the Bauple nuts collected by the aboriginals, named in 1857, the macadamia nut, and even sampled 3 variations. Hawaii popularized this nut by 1946 with the ‘Royal Hawaiian’ and it is now largely produced in South Africa and Australia.
Also of interest was the nearby Tillstead pioneer settlement built in 1900 with a cafe, house and barn museum.

The ginger factory is a great little trip from Coolum and was paired with a visit to Eumandi markets. With me 20 being the youngest, it was very clear this was not aimed towards our market which was okay. For what it is, it’s a nice free walk around visiting some shops, searching for a gruffilo and so on. I’m glad this attraction was free as I would struggle to see why someone would need to pay for this small walk but applaud the charging for the two extra attractions. Overall a nice space and a nice visit but one definitely better being free

We recommend joining one of our fully-guided tours next time you visit. We offer a Factory & Processing Tour, as well as a Live Bee Show. Both of these end in a delicious tasting.
A ride on 'Moreton' our Ginger Train is always a crowd favourite. He is over 120 years old and takes our guests through our nine-hectare grounds with full commentary onboard.
The Gruffalo Spotters Trail is an augmented reality experience where visitors download a free app and get photos and videos with the characters from the Gruffalo storybook.

We opted for just the factory tour and tasting, the rest of the compound was really designed for much younger children than ours (although it's enjoyed hamming it up). FYI the factory doesn't actually operate on the weekend so your factory tour is really a story of what does happen rather than seeing it first hand (if you go on the weekend like us). We really enjoyed the tasting at the end

Arriving mid morning, we were very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful gardens and welcoming staff. We booked the 11.00 am factory tour and an amazingly informative lady called Kathy took us around and finished off the tour with some tasty ginger treats. At 12 noon we went to the Live bee show, where Blake gave us 45 minutes of his fantastic bee facts followed by tasting of several different honeys. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. There are so many things to do. Well done Kathy, Blake and Ginger factory team.

What a fun, well run and beautiful establishment this is. It’s no wonder they have won many awards. The staff are absolutely welcoming and attentive, from front desk, tour guides to the cafe team clearing tables. No cost for entry but you can pay to do rides and tours, or you can stroll the beautiful grounds and quirky shops and playground for the kids. The aim is a must for the kiddies, only 15 mins. The factory tour was fun and well informed and you even get a taste of treats to try (gluten free and vegetarian available, let the guide know in the beginning. Great way to spend the day for all ages.

Now over 100 years old, Moreton was a sugar cane steam train working at the Moreton Sugar Mill in Nambour. Moreton is now retired from working at the Sugar Mill and spends his days taking people on a tour of the Ginger Factory grounds. Moreton now runs on Diesel.

Good morning. The ginger processing plant is on site here but you can visit our tourist park without coming into actual contact with a ginger plant or processed ginger. Please speak with our staff on arrival and they will assist with your visit.
