We visited again in October 23 after more than 3 decades and the lake is still green, pretty as ever. You get to see it as soon as you enter the town and it is a sight to behold. I have seen many lakes in hill towns but none as pretty as this one.

Whether taking a boat ride in the lake or just walking along it on the Mall Road, the views are breathtaking. You can feel the peace by just looking around at the scenery of tall mountains, and if weather is by your side then low clouds too. There are other activities that are offered at the lake, but the lake itself has become dirty and polluted due to the large number of tourists that throng it every year.

Nanital lake is the major attraction stretching from Tali tal to Malital with mall road on one side and many points from where paddle boats and rowboats are available ₹320 for a 25 minute ride and ₹420 for a 35 minute ride
Boating starts at 7 am except Wednesday when the boat jetties are cleaned it starts at 10 am the lake has mountains all around in rain and if wind is too strong boating is not possible para sailing and yacht are available at yacht club details i am not aware of

The lake is picturesque. boating in such a beautiful lake was a wonderful experience. The walkway along the side of lake is well maintained and feels pleasant to walk.

Good place to relax on a boat ride. Suggest take the longer ride to the end of the other side. Getting to the boat was very crowded but once the ride started it was good and relaxing. Views are good. We did it in the evening around 6 so got a little of sunset view.

Lake is clean and looks very pretty. It is surrounded by hills and valley that give breathtaking view. There are boats rowers and their charges are fixed by government (plus point)

Hi, it will be OK if you consider Lake tour and city tour only with a budget Hotel for accommodation. For out side tour like Ranikhet or Mukteswar from Nainital the price will be bit higher side.

If you are going to take accommodation near Mall road it will be around 3k per nights double occupancy/ I stayed at The Pavilion hotel, ita a good property..the bet part by walking you can cover few best sights. Other expenses like boat riding is nominal 250 to 350 per person.

Not clear where you are based. For Nainital you can take a taxi all the way or from Kathgodam which is the rail head. Kasauli is near Shimla, not Nainital. Perhaps you are thinking of Kaushani. Both Ranikhet and Kaushani can be accessed from Nainital.
