Great experience getting up close with bald Eagles! We went on a cruise and chose this as a stop. We were glad we did!

We liked this so much that we went back the next day with a tour. It was instructional and a wonderful chance to see eagles up close. Keep up the good work!!

This was part of our walking tour of Sika. A very nice experience and day! We were a group of seven and all could go at their own pace. We ended our day with Ice Cream!

The Alaska Raptor Rehabilitation Center was a real eye opening excursion we went on. They rehabilitate large birds; eagles, falcons, owls and the like that have been severely injured and nurse them back to health. For ones that can’t return to the wild, they take care of them for the rest of their life!
Seeing these large majestic birds up close is a rare treat. Some of their wing spans stretch over 6 feet! They take such good care of these injured birds. I’m glad this was on our excursion list as it brings awareness of these facilities for injured birds. Each bird has its own sad story and they know each one and cater to their needs.
My favorite was Qigiq (snowy owl) and Tito (Northern Saw whet owl). All the eagles were beautiful.

You can get here using the blue line bus. This is assuming you are comfortable walking a short distance, as the bus stop is down the street. We stopped in after seeing the Bears of the Fortress. Note: You can not simply walk between both attractions. There is some distance between the two facilities. However, they both can be done easily in the same day.
There were no cruise tour groups going through when we were there. Therefore, very easy to see the birds. We were there less than hour.

It was great to get to visit the Raptor Centre during our tour of Sitka (from the cruise ship).
What an amazing job all the staff/volunteers do to rehabilitate the wildlife that they can.
We got to see the Centre's ambassador Bald Eagle - Rain, who put on a great show for us - even if she wasn't hungry at the time!
Would definitely recommend a vist here to learn more about Bald Eagles and the other wildlife they help to rehabilitate.

This is an excellent place to learn about eagles, their habitat, and what this facility does to rehabilitate wounded eagles.

Beaucoup de bus. Et une mise en scène moyenne. C’est surtout du sponsoring pour la clinique de remise en état des animaux blessés.

This visit was part of a cruise excursion. The work they do at this center is phenomenal-"repairing" or caring for birds unable to return to wild from all over the state. You can see the birds from close-up, which you can't do in the wild. The group leader was knowledgeable and answered questions as they came up, and very passionate about their jobs.

Esse centro de reabilitação de águias é muito bem estruturado e aos visitantes uma oportunidade de conhecer esses animais em seu habitat.

Hi all, I was trying to buy the entrance tickets through their website directly but they don't have the option. Is it possible to buy directly at entrance? We don't want to take a whole tour but I don't see how to buy the tickets in advance.

As OMB already answered, you can purchase tickets upon arrival. If you want any of the special tour options, you can just email them using the address on the website. For my money, you want to see the rehabilitation facility they have built for the eagles; it's really something to see.
Are there any wheelchair accessible shuttles to the Raptor Center from cruise ship terminal (Holland America)? Can you take RIDE (the blue bus) from said cruise terminal? How much for the shuttle? Will arrive August 24th at 8 am on Holland America Oosterdam.

Yes HAL runs a tour to the Raptor Centre. Don't know if the bus will accommodate you. We walked up to the centre but would not advise you to do that

Good evening. We are cruising to Sitka and want to visit the Raptor Center. What is best method of transportation when we get off the ship? How much should it cost for the two of us?

we actually took the ship bus to the main part of town and then we walked through Sitka for free. It is beautiful. we went through the totem poll park and then walked across the street to the raptor center for free. Our friends did the tour which they loved, but we walked and we loved that as well. We stopped along the water and walked through the totem park. no schedule so we could get a drink or lunch. just stop at the visitors center close to the main part of town and they can provide a map.
We would like to purchase more of your tshirts. Do you have a catalog or website?
