Nice park for a stroll.

Nice spacious area to relax . Came in Oct. There was a marketplace advertized here with food stands and crafts and venders. Only had about 4 food trucks -all outragiously priced taking advantage of Oct in Salem. No other venders. $8 for 1 hotdog - little crazy if you ask me. The park itself is nice with plenty of porta potties if needed.

stop and relax

Stop and relax for a bit while experiencing all that Salem has to offer. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather when we were there and we sat there for a while, relaxed and just enjoyed the moment.

Salem Common is across the road from the Witch Museum (spectacular building; an old church) and The Stepping Stone Inn. There is a bandstand and also war memorials. Good for a stroll.

Great Walking area

I walked here one morning. It's right outside the Hawthorne Hotel, where I stayed, and it was a very nice space to peruse before my appointment time at the Salem Witch Museum just across.

On Halloween weekend, we stopped by here after the Salem Witch Museum. Tons of vendors and activities. A great place for families. We ended up getting some clam chowder from a food vendor and it was to die for!

Awesome parade.
really fun and very family friendly.

Make sure to ask what you like from this hotdog stand that was set up at Salem Common because the guy cooking on the picture is not the nicest and very stingy in giving what you pay for. $8 hot dog with 3pcs of onion, half bun. Incase you recognize this man next time. Just sharing. Cheers

Salem itself is very fun and do the tours.

Many vendors with unique wares and performers and music were also there during our visit. Food trucks were there too for a quick bite.

What a lovely park to walk around in as I wait for my Witch Museum reservation to come! It was very clean and you get to see many historic houses along the outside of the path, including the Hocus Pocus school :)

It is right across from our hotel at the Hawthorne. Beautiful park. It's so green and very relaxing. Great for running around with animals, kids or just for a lovely stroll.

Nostalgic and relaxing!!

We visit Salem often.....every year, all times of the year, all seasons. The Commons is always someplace we will stop and enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of the area. Our kids love the wonderful playground there is and it is surrounded by beautiful homes and a great central location and offers a great cut through to all the amazing attractions Salem has to offer. The wrought iron fence around it adds to the historical feel of Salem as well. Great place to relax and play!!
