Great experience! Easy rental, pick up and drop off. Great customer service and pre-trip suggestions on what to see. Would recommend for a unique day.

Kona, Hawaii - the ultimate playground! Our day began with the timeless couple question - 'What do you want to do?' 'Well, what do you want to do?' Just as we were about to crack the code, Ellen Miller Shiplett's superhuman leaflet-grabbing skills left us in awe. I called the Big Island Buggy Company, and as luck would have it, They had one car left for a 4-hour adventure. We explored the picturesque Kona beaches, shopped for souvenirs, and returned our door-less 'chariot' with 5 minutes to spare. The memories are forever etched in our hearts!

We had a wonderful time! The buggy came with 2 beach chairs, an umbrella and a cooler. The owner gave us ideas for beaches to visit and we had a lot of fun driving around. The owners are sooo friendly and helpful. We would definitely do this again! Mahalo Big Island Buggy!

What a great day! Aaron and Debi are super helpful. Exact and easy instructions for the quick walk from the cruise ship, tips on what to see, personal phone number if any questions or issues, etc. The kids loved it as the 4 of us drove around to beaches, parks, lunch, and sights. It was the one of the best highlights of the trip.

What an awesome way to spend the day and explore the beautiful island. From booking, picking up the Buggy to drop off the process was seamless. Aaron is very personable and knows all there is to know about the island. He took the time to point us in the right direction using a complementary map where he circled all the amazing points to hit. We rented for 8 hours and I’m glad we did because we used every bit of it. I was just the co-pilot and enjoyed every bit. My pilot loved the buggy and couldn’t help but express how awesome it was w/ a huge smile over and over again. This is hands down the BEST way to explore the island. I recommend ditching at least one tour you may have planned and explore it on your own in the buggy. We went about 65 miles to the east and hit Rainbow Falls, and headed North to Hawaiian Tropical Botanical Gardens and Akaka Falls. We stopped at a restaurant Aaron recommenced which was delicious. We drove through many climates which was awesome to experience. I highly recommend renting, it was a 10/10!!!

Our family rented three of the four available buggies and had an amazing time! Aaron and Debi were very helpful and Debi shared a map with directions and suggestions of places to see. The buggies were clean, fueled and ready to go. We spent a good part of the day driving south down the coast with the amazing view of the landscape and water. The buggies performed without issue and were so much fun. We would highly recommend using Big Island Buggy for future fun and sightseeing.

I want to give a big shout out to Aaron and Debi the owner of “Big Island Buggy”. They were so nice and helpful. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend supporting there small businesses and use one of there buggies to explore the island. We were not sure of where to go and the route we should take. But after getting their advice. Our experience could not have been better. Also I must let you know I mean it when I say they take care of there customers. I had a situation in which I created and I was a little worried and frustrated. So I call Aaron and told him about it and I couldn’t believe how nice and accommodating they were. I give them 5 stars. Thank you again Big Island Buggy.

So much fun! We had an awesome day today exploring the Big Island, Kona! We met Aaron and Debi who gave us a ton of great info to get us on our way quickly! I had lots of fun driving the family around Kona. Farthest point was the painted church which is beautiful. Lots of great views of the beaches so we stopped at one to enjoy. We did the four hour rental as we had another excursion in the afternoon. For those cruising POA, the pickup spot is just a short walk from the pier and easy to find too. I liked that Aaron was very responsive in texting answering all my questions.

First off, this little Buggy was super fun. We were grinning from ear to ear within seconds after pulling out of the parking lot, and we didn't stop the entire time we were on the road. Riding in the buggy was an absolute blast, and my husband loved driving it!
We were visiting Kona on a cruise. There were several spots on the island that I wanted to visit, so I looked to see if there were any vehicle rentals near the port. I was thrilled to find this option, especially because they offered half-day and full day rentals. (I'd tried renting a vehicle at a different port on a previous cruise, only to discover most places required a three hour minimum.) Plus the little buggy looked like a ton of fun, and it was something different than just your average rental car.
We booked an eight-hour rental, and had a great day driving around the island. We got to every site we wanted to visit, and saw a good portion of the western side of the big island. We never would have been able to see and do as much as we did had we not rented a vehicle.
But, as much fun as we had, the buggy itself is not the reason for the five star review. The reason for five star review is Aaron and Debi. The customer service they provide is top notch. After I booked our reservation I received an email from Aaron with additional information, as well as suggestions of things to do around the island! He said we could pick the buggy up whenever we got to shore and that we wouldn't be charged if our ship didn't make it to port.
I didn't realize it, but I booked the wrong date. We didn't catch it until later. But, it was no big deal, they just changed our reservation. When we got to Kona, Aaron met us at the port. It only took a minute to check out the buggy, and Debi gave us maps and driving directions. We were on the road in no time at all. Returning the buggy was just as easy. Oh, and it comes with beach chairs!
I would highly recommend Big Island Buggy, and I would definitely rent from them again!

We had an awesome day today exploring the Big Island in Honu! We met Aaron and Debi, knocked out some quick paperwork and they gave us a ton of great info to get us on our way quickly! My wife and I had lots of fun driving the buggy and it got us where we wanted to go no problem. We were able to do the full eight hour rental even with tendering from our cruise ship in the harbor. The pickup spot is just a short walk from the pier and easy to find too. Thanks Aaron and Debi, nice to meet you too!
