One of the favourite destinations of tourists. Best time to visit is during monsoon season although the place gets overcrowded during peak season. In off season it is mostly dry and rocky but still there is good amount of water in the dam. It offers a good site but nothing much as the monsoons.

The most famous and visited tourist place in Lonavala. It is easily accessible via train/bus/taxi.
If you come via own car or can there are plenty of parking spots charging Rs. 100 for muddy parking. From parking its around 400 mtrs walk to Bhushi Dam.
Once you reach Bhushi Dam, it's crowded & mob playing as if there's water in Desert 😂
I had visited on Monday hoping to see less crowd but was surprised the crowd was as much as I had last visited on Sunday around 9 years back.
There were shopkeepers coming inside the water discharge area and selling Vada pav and to my surprise there were few having it as well. The view from top of the dam is scenic. They have put a grill on top to prevent people going into DAM. There have been a lot of incidents in the past who entered to swim in the Dam.

We visited the dam on a weekday morning and had a fantastic time. You actually have to walk through 1-2 feet of water at places before you finally reach the dam. Weekends are crowded and traffic is brutal to get in and out. It was raining so it was a lot of fun. Sitting on the steps with strong water flowing around you was a great experience. Having hot tea and snacks there was nice.
Tips:
1. Do not go on Saturday or Sunday as it is really crowded and crazy traffic.
2. This is awesome during monsoons.
3. Make sure to pack your rain-gear as you will get wet.
4. Best is if you wear swimsuits or dry fit clothes so that you can dry off soon.
5. Wear slipper/flip-flops/waterproof shoes as you will get soaked.
6. The access is wet and steep so not advisable for people with disabilities and problems walking.
Have fun...

Visited this place while returning from Lonavala. It was drizzling the whole time. We had to buy rain coats to roam around.
Bhushi Dam is a certainly gorgeous. BUT people try reaching the top climbing the uneven staircase while the water flows down with galloping speed. Some people after reaching the top, jump to the other side of the dam and some have lost their lives in the past.
One has to remember that this is not an adventure park and no lifesaving equipments or life guards are there to save you.
Just be cautious. Life is precious 🙏

Only visit when the monsoon is low-key....but you have to take care of yourself as sometimes the speed of the water gets dangerously fast and the steps are slippery as well..i would suggest not going in heavy rains, only when its lightly raining..Also its overcrowded in the monsoons..

This place is situated on the way to Lion point. To enjoy the beauty of this place you must visit only during rainy season. Bhusi dam overflows during rains and forms sort of water fall. You need to park your vehicle on roadside and walk through narrow lane of road side dhabas and small souvenirs shop through uneven stones. Be careful while walking . 10-15 walk through water and mud will take you to Bhusi dam. Sit for some time with your feet dipped in water and enjoy. you may like to carry extra clothes in case you get wet. Avoid visit to this place other then rainy season else you will not be able to appreciate this place. It is l;located just on the road. During heavy rains water overflows and people from all nearby places visit this place making it huge crowd.
