Astoria is one of my favorite places in the world to visit. Every time we're in Portland, we make it a point to drive up to Astoria and go to the Rogue Public House on Pier 39.
On the particular day that we made our visit, the weather was horrible (typical Oregon raining & cold), so there weren't a lot of customers in the restaurant.
The food and beer at the Rogue Public house are always fantastic. Our server was very accommodating and friendly.
Of course, I always have to stop in their lobby/gift area and buy something with "Rogue" on it. We got lucky. They had the hoodies 50% off.
We'll be back! Thanks!

lots of beer on tap. service was a bit slow but food and beer were good. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. cool building with some other shops inside.

This restaurant was off the beaten path and we only found it because we were following the barking of the seals around 38th Street. This restaurant was accessible by a wooden-planked pier - Pier 39 - and was located in a historic bldg. I thought it was a nice atmosphere and the servers were extremely nice and attentive.
I ordered a salad with grilled salmon and balsamic vinegar dressing. The salmon serving was generous and the price if $21 was comparable to other restaurants. They also have their own lines of sparkling craft cocktails along with IPA beers.
I had a Rogue grapefruit vodka soda. It was very light and refreshing.

Great place for a couple beers before dinner, and a nice walk along the pier to get there. The menu didn't seem too enticing to us so we decided to eat dinner elsewhere. Cool vibe inside. Can't complain about the beers, either!

Arrived at Rogue. Stood in group waiting to enter. One small menu at front on a three foot tall music stand. If you are taller than 4' 10" you must bend at the waist and squint. Tip jar at order desk. You order, tip, pay before you are seated. Actually, seat yourself. Many empty tables..No water. Ordered Deadman Burger, Tots, Halibut and Chips, bowl of Clam Chowder, two craft beers. The beers were very good and cold. So was the Chowder, only not good, just cold. Asked if we could have hot. "I'll have to check with my manager," was the reply. Chowder returned. At most, thirty second nuke. Warmer at bottom. Still cold on top. Entrees arrived room temperature. No staff on floor to assist. The side order of Cole slaw nearly filled the small ramekin normally used for extra mayo or catsup. Burger and tots went home in a box to be eaten at proper temperature. Even with bad service I will leave 10%. This visit...nothing. Accompanying this adventure was LOUD Beatle music. The ten minute version of "Hey Jude." AAARRRGH! All this for low price of Sixty Bucks.

The pouring of beer flights needs more attention. The beers were spilt all over so the glasses were sitting in beer. This means they dripped all over the place whenever we tried to take sip. Just a little more care could prevent this. The view is nice.

We lived in the Pacific Northwest and would always go to the Rogue Brewery over in Newport, Oregon and get some hoppy brews and Gin. We now live in Tucson, AZ, but were visiting friends near Astoria so we went to Rogue Pier 39 Public House. We bought some very Hoppy Beer to go and of course a bottle of their Gin that is full of Botanicals and tastes like Juniper Berries. Great flavor! For lunch we shared the Prawn and Chips Plate and the Hazelnut and Cranberry Salad. Both were absolutely delicious. We’ll be in Astoria for a couple more days so a return trip will be happening! Highly recommend!

This place is cool! Situated inside the old Bumble Bee tuna cannery on the Columbia River, you have to drive or walk the wooden pier to get to the building. We walked from our hotel along the river walk to the Rogue Public House on Pier 39. The drinks and food were both top notch. You can hear the sea lions barking while you sit and enjoy your libations, and the views of the Columbia River are great. Talk about atmosphere! Would definitely stop in again if I was ever in the area.

What a great place the views are amazing I really enjoyed my fish and chips my daughter wanted pizza but they were out she had quesadillas which were ok but mine was better!!

Great food and beer, we got the halibut fish and chips and the prawns, delicious! It's nice that you can still sit outside to eat during covid. Although we were told we had to go back in to order more food or beer if needed, the servers were still periodically coming out to make sure everyone had full glasses and asking if we needed anything else.
