Was really surprised by the history of the theater. It was awesome getting to walk on stage. The folk hall of fame was a little smaller than I expected - but it was amazing to hear the stories of the featured performer and see the intimate look at their life. I wish we could have heard more music of other performers in the hall of fame though. Staff was awesome and we would go back again!

Really informative and entertaining tour. Great tour host. Beautiful theatre and felt such a privilege to experience a tour of this building. Would definitely recommend this.

Such a great museum tour and well worth the $25 admission. Our tour guide was excellent and I learned so much about the history of the theatre. The Bruce Springsteen exhibit was why I went and it did not disappoint! Getting on stage and getting to see the dressing room where Jerry Seinfeld had used the previous night and all the signatures back stage were other highlights of the tour!

We took the Wang Center tour with Scott in Sept 2023! He was a great help getting our reservation & was incredibly knowledgable about the history of the Center. The Center itself is stunning inside & is home to lots of signed memorabilia for every music fan of every genre. The exhibits are a bit spread out but I’m looking forward to the day the Centre can put their full vision of a museum together.

The tour of the theater is fantastic. Getting on stage, backstage, under the stage, and even seeing the dressing rooms was really cool in such a historic theater. Our main reason for going was to see the Folk and Americana Roots Hall of Fame. The HOF is in its infancy so it needs as much exposure as possible, but already it has a heap of folk and Americana memorabilia to check out. Stage outfits, signed guitars, and all kinds of items the theater has acquired or loaned are on display! 10/10 would go again if we are ever in Boston again. You can even buy some HOF merch to help support the theater. Would highly recommend.

The behind the scenes of the collections, dressing room and standing on the stage were awesome! The history was palpable and the tour guide was so knowledgeable and fun!

Experiencing this gem of Boston history while being litterally alone in the place is really a one-of-a-kind afternoon. Ankitha, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive to our questions and specific needs. She made sure to give me time to translate everything for my non-english speaking girlfriend, and answered patiently to every question we had and rephrasing if something was litterally lost in translation. Her easygoing attitude made it feel like doing the tour with a friend. We also had plenty of time to take all the photos my girlfriend wanted. Also, if you have the chance to have Ankitha as your guide, make sure to ask her for restaurant recommendations, as they were really good for us.

The tour was amazing. The building itself was a work of art, so impressive and gorgeous. The guide was very knowledgeable. We liked those stories behind the scenes and got a chance to visit different sections of the theater and stand on the stage! Wish we could have been there for a performance, definitely recommend it as Must see in Boston!

This is a great tour. The guide explained the history of the theater. The tour takes you to the upper areas of the theater, dressing rooms, the unique air conditioning system, and the stage. The music exhibits are really interesting. I like Arlo Guthrie and enjoyed his exhibit. We enjoyed the tour more than we expected.

I bought orchestra pit tickets to see Troye Sivan with my 8 year old daughter. Only after I bought them did I notice that they were general admission (oops). Will she be able to see anything?

There is a comfortable, friendly, somewhat eclectic restaurant called Abby Lane right across the street from the theatre. Clearly belongs in the theatre district, We enjoyed it.

There are garages in the area. Google it and you can see their locations. None are much of a walk. For someone with mobility issues (like myself) try the Tufts Medical Center garage, now called the Tufts Shared Services garage as it is the closest - right next door. We arrived at the last minute. Looked for handicapped parking couldn't find it but found one near the elevator and was fine. Be sure to use the elevator toward the Tremont St side. On street parking would be near to impossible. Also consider the traffic for your arrival time. Its terrible. Took us over an hour once in the city !

How are the seats on the floor level? As a bigger guy, sometimes these theaters have small seats that are very uncomfortable. Im travelling from Ohio so I want to make sure.

Nick, I was there for a Hans Zimmer concert and I'm a bigger guy and was sitting on the floor just to the right of the stage. I'm 5'10" 260 with a 38 inch waist and the seats were incredibly small. The arm rests and cup holders were rubbing against my knees the entire time. There was another gentleman, larger than me, sitting a few seats down from me and I could tell her was having the same issues I was having. Great theatre! But for bigger guys, it's a little uncomfortable.
