As aquariums go, it was pretty routine and basic. You had your photo taken on entry which you collect at end of the tour.
The giant turtle, Eddie, was magnificent, as were the mass of jellyfish flowing under different coloured lights.
Staff were pleasant, especially Joe in a wheelchair. Gift shop pretty basic, and you got the chance to collect your photo you'd posed for at start of the tour...... but $35 for poor quality photos was excessive considering they weren't at all good.
Overall, honest endeavours by the staff, but I felt underwhelmed considering what I had paid to get in.
Having it housed in a shopping mall said quite a lot.

The aquarium was awesome.. displays and interaction for children was really good:) they need someone who has more knowledge of a sea turtle and how they CAN tell the difference in the male and female in many different ways

My daughter got to touch the sea stars and enjoyed the views just for kids from the bubbles on the underside of the tanks. Just like the other attractions in the area, you are herded through the crowded exhibits. It was the cleanest place we visited though.

I spent $100 for a mermaid makeover with pictures included and a week and a half later I have no pictures and Sea Life is ignoring all my communications. This was my daughter’s birthday present and now we have nothing to show for it. They have nothing but kids working and no leadership whatsoever. Don’t waste your money on a mermaid makeover it’s overpriced. The exhibit compared to the price was outrageous.

We’re visiting family in Texas this week with our six month old and wanted to take him somewhere sensory that wasn’t all about screen time. We figured the aquarium with all if it’s brightly lit inhabitants would work well and Grapevine aquarium didn’t disappoint.
The attractions are all super accessible, and the right size/shape fit little ones (in a body sling in our case) to get up close and watch some really beautiful sea creatures.
Everything was well laid out, staff were super friendly and the size of the aquarium means it’s perfect for our six month old and his short attention span.
Would definitely recommend / visit again.

Good aquarium. May have just missed it, but didn't see anywhere on the website that it's located inside a huge shopping mall. If you have little ones, I would bring a stroller - there's stroller parking in the entrance to the aquarium. Took my 4 kids, ages 2-15. Everyone had fun

Five adults and one child went on a Monday afternoon the week of spring break. The exhibits are nice with a large variety of sealife. I've been to nicer aquariums but for the area it's nice.

As we went in there was an awful fishy smell. The tanks didn’t appear very clean or well lit. The entire place was dark. There were employees hanging around doing nothing. I thought they needed to have less employees and have some knowledgeable ones taking care of the tanks

Is it feasible to take a scooter in for a handicap person?

You can always call and ask them, for us it was very crowded and a person on a scooter might have trouble seeing with the crowds. They might can suggest a time when they are the least crowded

Depending on how quickly you view some of the venues, I'd allow at least a good hour to take it all in, possibly longer. They've added exhibits since was last there so might be even more to enjoy.

You can pick your time. We just chose to go at 10. We wanted to get back to our hotel so my grandson, Tristan could swim before the pool closed. Hope this helps.

Sorry for the late response, but this was only for a limited time. It might come back again - just check their site! Also, if you eat at Rainforest Café, you can get free child tickets with the kid's meal (call ahead to verify).

There were lots of strollers loaded with all sorts of things, so I would think so. However that being said, I believe there were signs saying no food or drinks, so you should be able to take your cooler thru (I'm assuming with lunches and stuff?) you just won't be able to take anything out of the cooler while inside.
