Mediocre could be better with attention to basic details. We were seated in the stables which has no views in a glass area which was unbearably hot . On weekends it’s a set menu the entree is a antipasto platter . We were a group of 4 people we got 8 slices of salami and 4 prosciutto slices 4 stuffed store bought bell peppers a slice of blue cheese enough for 1 serve what I would place on one cracker! 1 artichoke and 4 olives as ndd dd bunch of grapes. Why would they produce such a pathetic antipasto platter. Pizzas were ordinary and the slow cooked lamb was nice with heaps of potatoes. Won’t be going back. Such potential but feel they grown too big and experience not there and no attention to detail.

Lovely location, great service; we were accomodated without a booking on a very busy day without fuss and the food and wines were very nice.

We attended the outdoor wedding at Zonzo Estate, luckily the weather was perfect. The celebrant conducted the ceremony with humour and dignity, we felt it went off very well. The flower girls were cute. The organisation could not be faulted. It was a great location for this marvellous family occasion.

If you are travelling here just for the food, honestly was a little disappointing. Started off the experience with requesting a change of tables with the staff kindly agreeing to it and ushering me to my new table. We got the Zonzo 'festa' sharing menu which was $60 per pax. This consisted of an antipasti, pizza and main to share. I found out that the main was lamb which my guest could not eat and therefore checked with the waitress if this could be changed, she said it could be changed to a gnocci and it would be arranged for me.
I subsequently waited for 40 minutes for the antipasti to arrive. I only started thinking something was off when other tables who arrived after me received their antipasti while my guest and I still waited. I had to personally approach the staff to ask about my antipasti. They apologised for the mix up and said the kitchen thought the table was cancelled as we had requested to change tables. Okay, benefit of doubt on choice of words but was still rather frustrated at the reason given being us requesting to change tables.
Next issue was seating time. Seating time for each reservation was 2hours as stipulated, I asked about the seating time when they antipasti came and the waitress who served clarified that the seating time could be extended to accommodate for the lateness of the antipasti. However, subsequently the manager came to clarify that the mains were still on time and there was still 35 minutes left on the original seating time. THis was in the context of us packing the pizza away for takeaway prior to this as we already didn't think there was enough time. Not too sure how this helped the issue in any way.
Next issue was mains. The lamb and potatoes main came without the gnocci and portion looked like it was for two. Had to clarify with the waitress that this was a two person portion and that we had previously asked another waitress to request for a switch to the gnocci. The reply we got was that it was not recorded in the system, but they could order it now. Again, blamed pushed to us.
We were offered an extra pizza, or complimentary dessert/drinks if we would like but we declined as the error was already an excess of food and us having to finish our food in a short period of time instead of taking our time to eat it over 2 hours. Can't seem to understand how this was a good solution on their part.
Overall, a rather unpleasant experience. Would not recommend going there. If the food wasn't great, the service may have made up for it but it did not in this case.

What a great venue for a wedding. The chapel is a nice size for a wedding around 80 people. The reception area is really nice with a open lawn area outside the restaurant.
The food was amazing and plenty of pre dinner nibbles. The grazing plate, home made pizza and a main of succulent lamb. The band and service I couldn’t fault.

My wife and daughter attended last Sunday for lunch at Zonzo. We didn't do any tastings as we were just there for lunch. There are a few options for dining at Zonzo, we'd opted for the Stables as we hadn't been there before and it sounded like they'd been recently renovated. When we arrived, it was clear they were very busy as the car park was almost full - always a good sign when a restaurant is busy. We'd booked ahead so there were no issues getting a table. The staff, although young, were friendly and efficient. We 3 all had pizzas, I had the pork sausage and spanish onion, my wife had the eggplant pizza and my daughter had one from the kids menu. The pizzas came out quickly and we each had a glass of wine to go with our food. The pizzas were excellent, if a little small and pricey for the size. Our daughter then had ice cream with chocolate sauce for dessert.There were just a couple of minor gripes apart from the value for money aspect. We were seated on a shared table with another couple. No big deal, we were far apart enough not to bother each other but just something I wasn't expecting. It was also rather noisy, with polished concrete floors and big glass windows. The biggest issue for me was the heat. The outside temperature was only 23, but with all the glass, it was like a glasshouse. Very warm, especially with the sun coming through the skylight ceiling. I had to keep my sunglasses on. I can only imagine what it would be like on a 37-40 degree day. There were also a few flies buzzing around that we had to keep shooing.

Great prosecco (if you like that), free wine-tasting and great pizza. Also has beer, but no tasting available for those. Enjoyed a the spot a lot and architecture and surroundinga are beautiful.

Service was slow, under-managed, lacklustre, disorganised and of a lower standard.
No bread offered, reluctantly replaced used starter dishes for main course, too many waiters involved, overstaffed in kitchen, cooking simple, pizza good but that’s only positive about cooking.
Wine - overpriced as is most Yarra Valley wine.
Good views.

definitely worth a visit! I don't think anyone in our group was disappointed and agreed we would all be happy to go back.

Great venue with great views and kids friendly. Noisy, but it was to be expected as it was very crowded! We ordered antipasto for 6, very tasty but unfortunately too small for 6 people (how can you divide one small artichoke, 4 "lupinis" and 4 ovoline between 6 people?and grapes?). The pizzas and the lamb were very good, but the crab ravioli had very little filling in them and quite heavy dough, the only thing you could taste was the thyme. The wine was good and and the staff was very friendly and efficient.
