It’s quite relaxing to sit near the lake. Small playground for kids and toilets are available. Saw a lots of boat riders enjoying their ride at the lake. Could easily spend a couple of hours here

This is worth the quick drive out. Great picnic and canoeing areas. Clean toilets. Great views as well.

We were on holidays and were driving around, exploring the area from Beechworth to Bright.
Took a detour at Myrtleford, and headed towards Lake Buffalo.
It is a bit of a drive but we enjoy just cruising along.
When we got there, it was a busy place. Lots of people, jet skis, boats out on the lake.
But the atmosphere was very friendly.
A group of people sitting on one of the park benches saw us looking for somewhere to sit and enjoy a picnic with our friends. So they called out to us and said to take the table they were using, as they were finished and off to go boating in the lake.
They were so friendly. Makes me miss the old days when this kind of friendliness was common. But I might be showing my age I guess. 😀
Worth the drive cause it’s nice surrounds and fresh air were amazing.
Winter might be a bit cold out there, but on a glorious summers day,, it’s well with visiting.

A complete surprise. This is a beautiful spot for a picnic, bbq or whatever. Great facilities and plenty of space. Only a short trip from Myrtleford.

Certainly well worth the short drive out from Myrtleford. A beautiful outlook if you just want to sit and relax and take in the scenery but if your looking for water skiing, swimming or fishing you can do that as well. There is quite a few free BBQ's around the lake to have a cook up with the family as well and the public toilets have always been clean when I have had to stop.

One of our prettiest lakes. Mount Buffalo backdrop. Clear high country - fed water. Good picnic areas. Swimming, water-skiing, fishing, walking.

Great lake in hidden valley near Myrtleford. Good facilities and big open area for picnics, BBQ and recreational activities. Lots of trees for shade and good parking around the lake area. A few different spots to access lake. Toilets and BBQs in good condition. Water level was a bit low but still very useable. Maybe difficult for sedan with large boat.

Sorry I have just realised my previous answer is incorrect. Lake Catani is Mt Buffalo not Lake Buffalo. No you cannot camp at Lake Buffalo

you can take dogs but they need to be on the lead and cannot swim.
