Questo posto è così sovraffollato che riesci a malapena a camminare non c'è posto per parcheggiare gli insetti sono orribili. Non so nemmeno perché questo sia classificato tra i primi 10 di Mount Pleasant perché ci sono così tante cose migliori da fare. Consiglio di saltare questo, abbiamo provato ad andare qui due volte durante la nostra visita, non è nemmeno riuscito a trovare un posto dove parcheggiare la prima volta. Goditi Mount Pleasant ma non qui!
“Crowded Pitt Street Bridge ”

È usato per essere un posto tranquillo per passeggiare o guardare il tramonto. Ora non ci sono parcheggi disponibili e nessun marciapiede solo gratuito per tutto il traffico e i golf cart. Folle di persone e cani che rendono difficile apprezzare la vista di Charleston sopra le loro teste. Immagino che questo sia solo il futuro di Mt. Pleasant.

Spend time and vacation somewhere else

This place is so overcrowded you can barely walk there's no place to park the bugs are horrible. I don't even know why this is rated in the top 10 of Mount Pleasant as there are so many better things to do. I recommend skipping this we tried to go here twice in our visit it could not even find a place to park the first time. Enjoy Mount Pleasant but not here!

Crowded Pitt Street Bridge

It use to be a quiet spot to walk or watch the sunset. There are now no parking spaces available and no sidewalks just a free for all of traffic and golf carts. Crowds of people and dogs making it hard to appreciate the view of Charleston over their heads. I guess this is just the future of Mt. Pleasant.

Crowded, no parking, mosquito hordes they could hear you away, death trap

This was the worst experience I have ever had, there is no parking, cars running up and down the road nonstop almost hitting pedestrians, and once you're there it is so crowded you can't find a place to sit or stand without being on top of someone else who is trying to enjoy the space.

Definitely don't reccomend!

Interesting Historical Perspective

Great place for a walk, very peaceful and lots of scenery. This was suggested to me by a local working at our hotel.

According to the local lore, the bridge was the first causality of the Civil War as the Union forces on Fort Sumter destroyed it as it was used to supply Fort Moultrie. Haven't read anything to verify this but its sounds plausible and makes for a good excuse to visit here. If you need one. Nonetheless it gives an interesting perspective as you can see both forts from here.

Pitt Street Bridge

We went twice, once in the afternoon (2ish) and there weren't many people there, a couple fisherman. It was really hot. We returned another evening and there were lots of people who were obviously there to watch the sunset. They brought picnics etc. There was a tall tower (channel marker?) right at the actual bride. The evening we were there there were a bunch of teenagers jumping off into the water. It was very entertaining if not a little scary. We also enjoyed a lovely sunset there.

Relaxing Walk Over the Pitt Street Bridge

Take some time out of your day and walk across the Pitt Street Bridge. It's very relaxing and quiet. It is especially beautiful right at sunset. You will need to park your car at the entrance and walk the remaining distance, but it's definitely worth it. If you have a dog, it would be the perfect place to go for a walk or run with your dog. I'd highly suggest taking a small bit of time and add this to your list of places to see. Check out our blog!

Walked out on the bridge to watch the sunset over Charleston. There were a lot of people doing the same thing as we were. Well worth the effort.

Lovely walk. Nice fishing

This Pier is a little off the beaten path and limited parking with tough turn around can be a challenge. However once you get there it’sa very nice environment. The walk to the actual pier is under a quarter mile of flat paved sidewalk with frequent benches. A ramp leads up to the pier itself. There is one handicap parking space and the walk can be a distance challenge for some. The pier itself has space for many fishermen with perfect environment for speckled trout, flounder, drum and lots of pinfish/bait fish. There are no restrooms or drinking water anywhere near the park or pier. So plan ahead. I have not been there after dark but there are street lights present.

Relaxing Place

Beautiful, historic and relaxing. In addition, it is a pretty good place to go crabbing. Went there a few weeks ago and garnered 6 good sized blue crabs. And yes, they were delicious.

Bridge turned into a park

Take a stroll down this old bridge turned into a park. There are places to fish easily accessible from the bridge, and benches to sit on. This is a nice place to see pelicans and egrets fly by, watch boats or view the sunset. It is an easy walk from Alhambra hall, and close to downtown old village where you can grab an ice cream or coffee. Park on Pitt street before the park begins. The road narrows into the park through this residencial area, and once down the street, turning around is hard. Come for a walk or to fish
