During a stop at a Delta Sky Club on our way to Oregon for a week of wine tasting, a gentleman seated near us recommended Fairsing as one of his favorite Willamette Valley wineries, so we decided to give it a try. We're glad we did. The drive up to this hilltop winery is beautiful and the views from the tasting room are spectacular. The wines were very good, as well. We really enjoyed our server (sorry, can't recall his name) who spent lots of time with us, explaining the wines, sharing stories about the area - and even recommending other wineries for us to visit.

On our Oregon holiday we visited Fairsing Winery on the recommendation of a friend who is a member. We opted for the Elevated Tasting, which featured a rose, three Pinot Noirs and a Chardonnay. In addition, we enjoyed a large charcuterie and cheese board that was a nice foil for the wines.
The first thing that strikes you after the ten minute drive to the top the hill are the stunning views (yes once your GPS says you have arrived there is still a trek up the hill!). The views feature vineyards, rolling hills and distant peaks (Mt Jefferson and Mt St Helena). The tasting room is modern with tall ceilings and glass walls looking out at the country side.
The server was knowledgeable and struck a nice balance between being helpful and letting us enjoy the offerings with ourselves. The wines are more Burgundian than New World. I found them elegant and feminine with complex flavors and a long finish. The food was more than enough for lunch for the two of us. The $60/person is more than fair for all that is offered.
I would definitely recommend Fairsing for your Yamhill wine tasting adventure.

One of our favorite stops on our recent visit to the Willamette Valley wine region. Drawn to it due to the 360 degree views noted in travel booklet, we decided to head there on our way to Portland, and were so happy that we did. The tasting room manager, Brandy Grey, was welcoming and conversational. They had a nice selection of logo inspired gear, their signature black logo vests were purchased by all four in our party.
Rather than tasting we opted for a bottle of the Rose of Pinot Noir which was delicious. Scenic vistas, and accomodating staff made this a very fun last stop!

The view is indeed sensational, the service not so much. The pours were the stingiest I have ever had. There were many seats on the patio that looked out on the great view. But in order to sit there you had to buy an entire bottle. Pretty chintzy. The wine was just ok so not worth a bottle.

After traveling up their steep switchback road in hopes of enjoying a glass of wine we were met with great disappointment and told "no, things have changed during COVID" ....this was delivered with a very curt additude. It is so sad that hospitality has also died of COVID.

We were thrilled with our tasting at Fairsing last weekend. We were seated outside in comfortable seating overlooking a magical view. The highlight however, would be Donna! I always say, wine tasting can be made better or worse by the staff of a winery. Donna was warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. She was fairly busy, but never made us feel that we were not important to her. We loved our wines, and will remember Fairsing fondly when we crack open the wine we purchased.

We didn’t take any home, but it is very nice wine. The view is spectacular and worth the drive. Tasting was $20 per person and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. A few small bites were available as well for those who needed a snack to accompany.

Our friends from Portland are members here and so they wanted to show off this wonderful winery with breathtaking views. We were able to enjoy a picnic lunch (I think only members are allowed to do this) and sip some delicious wine while soaking up the 360 degree views of the Willamette Valley. After running the Fueled by Fine Wine half marathon that morning, we appreciated the opportunity to relax and marvel at the beautiful scenery. The wines were so good!

Driving to Fairsing was beautiful. Once you take the road up to the winery you wind back through the vineyards to the top of the hill. The tasting room is set in a sleek and modern building, but is cozy and comfortable on the inside, we loved everything about this winery. We looked at all the wines and again decided on the one we wanted to taste, ordered a glass and stepped outside to find Adirondack chairs overlooking the vineyard and rolling green hills. We sat, soaked in the views and sipped our wines.
We found their wines to be smooth, drinkable, really packed with fruit and flavor. It was getting close to closing time, so we said our good byes and drove back through the vineyards to McMinnville. It truly is a stunning winery with really lovely wines, probably my favorite of the day, so give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
