Good parking
ago 2021
Good signage from HWY 138. Parking lot is really big! Pit toilets. There's some information boards as well. You can actually SEE the falls from the parking lot!

Moderately strenuous IMO. Trail is rocky & on a constant incline until you get to the bridge. The upside is you're hiking alongside a swift running creek.
Low flow waterfall in August & I wasn't really impressed. Probably looks better in Spring with better flow & less foliage. Cross the bridge & turn left to go up closer to the falls or go right to the parking lot.
One of four waterfalls we visited that morning & the one I liked the least.

High Value reward: Short loop trail, dense green forest, highest falls in Southern OR. TIP: Frames great pictures at base stream rocks or at the wooded bridge. So many falls nearby but save 20 minutes for this one!

Hidden gem, Must visit waterfall i southern Oregon.
The hike was easy and did with our kid.
There is very spotty network, so make sure you have GPS.

Un bel arrêt et un moment de détente

Très belle cascade située à proximité de Roseburg.
L'endroit est calme et relativement peu fréquenté. On peut y passer un agréable moment et s'y détendre quelques instants au cours d'un long trajet

Beautiful Falls
lug 2020
My 11 year old granddaughter ranked this is one of her favorite places in Oregon (behind the dune buggy ride at Oregon Dunes National Rec Area). The climb looked to be steep enough that I opted out, but the kids and my husband made it and said it was awesome!! I could see the top of the falls from the parking lot. This was the most crowded of all of the places we stopped at in Oregon--early Friday afternoon.

highest waterfall in southern orgeon--worth a look!
giu 2020
Nice waterfall visit along the Rogue Umpqua Scenic Byway. There are a lot of waterfalls and places to stop along the way. This is the 3rd highest waterfall in Oregon and the highest in southern Oregon so worth a look. Park at the Watson Falls picnic area and then walk up the stairs to the road -- cross the road and then the trail begins. At the bottom you have green, moss-covered boulders with water rushing down and around them. Look up and you will see the main waterfall above. If you are pressed for time (lots to see on this byway!) go up to the footbridge that allows you to walk over boulders with rushing water, it's a lot of fun. nice waterfall and worth a visit.

Catch it during the wet season - dramatic setting

Not an easy access for some, but worth the effort. There is a first viewing area but you can keep going to get closer - great photo place.

amazing hike!
ott 2019
This hike was amazing, very accessible hike. You start off from the parking lot and have to cross the highway to access the actual hike. The hike its self was spectacular! If you are adventures and like to get to the bottom of the hike, you have that ability to get down the fall!

Listening & Looking Up
ott 2019
A helpful individual answering the phone at Lithia Park (Ashland) told us Watson Falls was his favorite waterfall in the region. So we skipped Rogue River Gorge Falls & Toketee and headed to Watson.

It was a Monday, and there were only a handful of visitors. We shared conversations and took one another's photos.

Unless you have serious knee or foot issues, you should be able to make the ascent. Most folks stayed 5 minutes at the end, but we sat on a bench ...

... and savored the views.

True Mother Nature at work!

It's a bit of a hike up to the base of the falls but definitely worth the effort. I wouldn't recommend it to some of our seniors.
