An experience worth repeating!

Beautiful tasting room & vineyard not to mention adorable pup that roamed the space- all made for a great experience. The Chardonnay and Syrah presented pleasant surprises that made me want to come back. The single vineyard pinot was memorable amount the sea of Pinot and I will most definitely return!

Serene and peaceful spot, excellent personal service

Our itinerary had us on the coast overnight in Lincoln City, and we wanted to find a spot on the way into the valley to get a flavor for the area on the western edge of the region. We picked this one because of the owners' story (my wife is from Southern MN too). We had a 10am appointment and had it all to ourselves. We had very personal service from John who was a great story-teller and treated us to a very relaxing morning on the porch. The wines were good and it was really interesting to sample the different pinot noirs from different spots on the hillside. Their spot up on the hill was serene and beautiful, and the winery dog was a lot of fun too. Great start to our 2 days of wine-tasting, I'd recommend it!

Give yourself time

We stopped here at the end of the day and shared a bottle of Rose wine and enjoyed their outdoor space. Beautiful property, welcoming staff and lovely wine. I wish we had been able to spend a little longer because the wine was delightful and the setting for spectacular.

Lovely friendly vineyard atmosphere with great wines

We had a great wine tasting experience at Coeur de Terre. John hosted us, and his friendliness and flexibility were much appreciated. We made some adjustments to our tasting based upon schedule and having eaten a huge breakfast. He was also extremely knowledge about the vineyard and all of the wine, going in depth to answer our questions and the other couple who were tasting beside us.

I really liked the Pinot Gris, and my partner preferred the Rose. We both agreed upon the 2015 Syrah which was fantastic and will age for 20 years. We had limited room to take back wine, so we purchased both the Pinot Gris and the Syrah.

I enjoyed the bucolic setting with tasting on the deck overlooking the vineyards and the valley. Coeur de Terre is my favorite vineyard in McMinnville.

Tip: The roads to access Coeur de Terre are steep and mostly gravel, so you will want to allow plenty of time to travel there at a slower pace. If you are tasting in the morning, it may still be cool outside so bring a jacket.

Fantastic personalized experience!

Beautiful setting with beautiful scenery. Completely different vice than some of the other wineries that few more commercialized. We received a personalized experience from one of their staff and he was amazing. Loved hearing the story behind the vineyard and all of the small little details about the naming of different areas, etc. The wine was lovely. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit!

Wonderful location, amazing wines

Although the location is somewhat "off the beaten path" it is well worth a visit. The location affords beautiful views of the hills all around and the wines are all excellent. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The weather for us was superb as we sat out on the expansive deck and enjoyed our tasting flight and the overall experience. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Worth the detour on our way home!

Drove from Olympia WA to Newport, OR down 101 for a short five day get away. Stopped in Astoria for lunch and had a Pinot Noir with lunch. Wow! Wrote down the name of the winery.
Heading back to Olympia up 101 and made the decision to cut over to McMinnville to visit the winery and buy some Pinot. We were the only ones there for the entire two hours and Mark was amazing. Learned about wine grapes, did the tasting, sat out on the deck, found more wines we liked and, Wine Club members now. Thank you Mark!

Great winery to visit

I came a litle early and the staff was nice enough to offer the tasting indoor and outdoor. It was a little windy but the temperature was pleasant. I had a good view of the vines. The flights change every four to six weeks which is helpful. There was ample parking. Wines were tasty and bought a pinot. They grow most (if not all) of its grapes Met CC the greeter. Very friendly dog; would definitely come back;

Excellent wine and Views!

Coeur de Terre is excellent every time. I should know! I bring out wine tour guests for years. Each wine guest loved the education, learning about soil, the wonderful staff, incredible views and great wine! It's must visit winery.

They also have concerts in summer incl. covid summer. 2 Safe concerts this year.

It's a must see! Highly recommend it! Cheers!
