Lovely walk through the woods
ott 2021
Superb park for walking the dog, although it is easy to lose your way through the woods (our fault as we’d left the map behind). The variety of trees and woodlands is beautiful and talking to the lady at the kiosk there are 3,800 acres available for everyone to enjoy. The Central Bark cafe was a little disappointing as there was very little food left at 2 pm (it closes at 3 pm).

Great family day out
ott 2021
Extensive woodland, parkland and lake in the heart of Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.

Parking and entry is free to National Trust Members (£5.50 per person if not).

The Courtyard Cafe was very busy when we visited on a Monday in October, but very well organised with a one way system, indoor and outdoor seating. Service was prompt and friendly, food quality good and prices reasonable.

Our walk around the lake was most enjoyable and the encouragement for cyclists to take a different route around it most welcome.

Fabulous place 👌🏽
set 2021 • Famiglia
I absolutely love this place, we cycle here 2-3 times a week, join up with the well sign posted national cycle route, there's no need to be near the visitor centre or busy parts there's miles to explore we've been going there for a few years and can still find new routes to take, it's a beautiful place and well worth a visit..
We are National trust members & we well get our moneys worth but for everyone complaining about prices I don't think it too expensive where else can an adult go all day for £5.50 , Take the family with some ball games & picnic have a walk or cycle etc spend all day

Poor signposting for walled garden
set 2021 • Coppie
Clumber Plumber is a lovely area but beware. Walled garden last admission is 3 pm and closes at 3.30. The entrance has also altered, presumably as the garden tea rooms are still closed. The signposting for the new garden entrance is very poor - there’s really no excuse for this, likewise the rather dry tuna and cucumber baguette with one slice of cucumber! Not a very satisfactory visit I’m afraid. NT you need the to attend to some of the details.

Extensive, attractive park.
set 2021
Clumber Park is a very attractive place. There are lots of different areas to walk;some in wooded areas, some open countryside and a lovely walk around the huge lake with beautiful views. There are also more formal gardens, the Walled garden is especially attractive.
Facilities are excellent; ample parking and several cafes and toilets as well as benches around the park.
We spent several hours here and enjoyed it immensely.

Great place which I need to explore further
set 2021
I dropped into Clumber for a break on a long journey & to meet someone, so wasn't able to explore it as much as I'd like. However the beautiful drive down the double avenue was by itself uplifting as was the walk around the lake area. The cafe was excellent & I enjoyed my relatively short time there: one to return to for sure.

Somewhat hurt.
set 2021
I have lived here for 31 years and stopped at night to watch the stars and brought my cycle to explore the tracks in the day. However, three years ago at night I pulled over near the end of Lime Tree Avenue for 15 minutes to read a book as I was early to pick up a friend. I was advised to move on as it was after dusk by some very unfriendly security people. Today, as it was warm, I pulled over off the avenue to stretch my legs a mere 10 minutes; on returning to the car I found a piece of paper telling me to pay up £5 at the checkpoint at entry to the park proper. I had no money on me and I had simply pulled off the King's Highway for ten minutes. There were no signs, no ANPR, no honesty boxes and I just pulled in where other cars were. I had no idea one had to pay in the daytime for just parking under the trees. That's 50p per minute! I will not come again except by a lengthy cycle ride. I'm surprised the piece of paper didn't say "You would't park on someone's front lawn-so don't try it on here".

Clumber is a treasure
set 2021 • Coppie
Clumber Park is a National Trust property which is free to enter if you are a member. If not, the cost varies from £4 upwards. The National Trust receive no government money and the park takes considerable upkeep. It always surprises me that people expect to enjoy it for free. It isn’t a public council run park.
There are good facilities. Many areas are SSI’s. A walk round the lake is lovely and cycle hire is available. We go there daily with our dogs. We always find the staff and volunteers to be friendly and helpful. The shop is well appointed with a nice selection, although the plant sales area is not as good as it used to be. There is a cafe and restaurant plus a special cafe that allows dogs inside, which is great for us doggy people in the winter. If you enjoy gardening there is always something interesting to see at the walled kitchen garden. For children, there is the playground and the discovery centre - although the woodland itself is one giant playground with a bit of imagination!

Not happy
ago 2021
Called in on the way South like we have done many times but this visit wa# specifically to Hardwick Village, very disappointed to find there was no entry to the village due to COVID regulations, this despite the rest of the park seemingly being open and all government restrictions lifted !
