It is terrible.
Gardners Falls was overcrowded, heavily littered (there was litter on the ground next to the bins, even!), the water was murky and brown, filled with algae and sharp rocks/broken beer bottles. People come with loud speakers and play profane music, dominating areas. There is no parking, as well!
I would recommend another, better treated area for a nice nature visit, such as Kondalilla Falls.

A very easy and short walk to enjoy a short stop off in the area of Maleny. I wish I had taken my swimmers with me- as water looked so appealing.
Even on New Year’s Day in the rain it was busy.
There’s not much to the falls which I think is part of the appeal. So as someone who wasn’t expecting too much I thought it was great.
Car park spots are a bit tricky.

Absolutely stunning bit of nature here! A beautiful backdrop of trees, waterfalls, waterholes to swim or paddle in, just stunning.

Nice pleasant but quite short walk past a series of cataracts not really much of a waterfall. There is a shortage of parking so get there early or be prepared to park outside the carpark.

This place is gorgeous. Beautiful scenery and Mother Nature at her finest. Water and trees are just delightful. Not a lot of parking so get there early. A lot of people come to picnic and hang out. Some unsavory characters can visit and hog all the areas but generally everyone there is just enjoying the surroundings. You can swim and even swing out on a rope into the water. Worth a visit just even just to look. Easy path to walk on.

Really not a great waterfall but lots of people swimming in the water which was running well and several different areas from shallow to deep. Very little seating/picnic tables (almost non existent) parking is a very small area and even on a Monday it was chockers and difficult to negotiate. The pathway along the stream was adequate if sure footed.

Don't expect a big waterfall. Instead you will be greeted by some lovely small falls and one medium sized falls, divided by beautiful safe swimming holes of various depths

The walk from the car park to the falls themselves is certainly part of the enjoyment. An easy level walk alongside the river provides plenty of opportunity for some great photos. While the falls themselves are only small they are interesting when there is a descent amount of water running over. This is also a very popular swimming spot.

Disappointed we attended in winter as I would have loved to swim in there! There are a number of pools and areas you can swing off and jump into the water, so would be a great spot for summer.

It’s a nice & easy stroll along the creek side with a nice waterfall at the end. Several people went for a swim, bit cold in June but would be popular in hot summer months. Car parking is fairly limited.

Hi, not 100% sure but you could go on the Translink page and put in your start and end destinations and see if there is any buses. Also Kangaroo bus line is pretty big here they might have a bus that does the route.

Can we take prams? I have a 3 month old baby. Is it okay for babies?
Scritta in data 14 aprile 2018
Hello, Yes you can take a pram. The paths in some areas have abit of water like a puddle over them. Paths are harden dirt. Top of the road into Falls where you can park your car is steep. Lower carpark is flat but not alot of carparks.

Can anyone give me info on the tarzan swing and if it safe etc
Scritta in data 5 settembre 2017
When I went a few weeks back there was not much water so it was a few metres drop to the water. There were two bike handles attached to two ropes. I think it would be quite a climb to get out. One of them was up a very steep, slippery looking slope. It is probably much easier when there's more water about. Certainly not ok for young kids at the moment but I can imagine teenagers might still give it a go.

Can you bring a dog there by any chance?
Scritta in data 24 dicembre 2016
Afraid no dogs allowed at any time according to local govt website.
"Council regulations also specify areas prohibiting dogs due to the sensitivity of the area.
Maleny Park - Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Mountain View Road. No dogs permitted at anytime, Gardner’s Falls, Maleny-Landsborough Road"
